Do wonder if the high premiums in general will continue to be paid in the future if the run of early payments continue but the aircraft seemed to be even higher just because of what they were Higher premiums have been a permanent feature of ablrate since they introduced the ifisa. Wish the deep discounts would come back to make things better. Except for those investors selling.

The problem is that with 'par only' there is no market, only a glut or a famine.
The problem with allowing a premium is people over stocking specifically to flip .. ABLrate need to sort out some sort of limits/throttle imo, or desirable loans will vanish in seconds to be back at a premium on the SM shortly thereafter.

Guess its a fine line in that if the SM was par/discount only then there would be no glut but possibly famine as you say.You maybe would set a limit/throttle on new loans with no premium making flipping less attractive but then some loans may not fill which would be a worry the other way round.Still new in someways to p2p but thought the idea behind any SM was to help with early withdrawals not necessarily a mark up as its not like buying an IT at a premium where you can decide when to sell in the future unlike with loans which be repaid early

The ideal solution (see MT, Ly) is to have some initial limit, or some maximum buy rate for the first few days, so everyone who wants some gets a shot at it .. then you throw it open so anyone wanting to overstock and sell later can do so. If it still isn't filled, you offer cashback, or call underwriters (people who get a higher rate). The original FC system (still vaguely in use elsewhere) was to have an auction where people could chase the rate down .. Dutch auction .. but that fell to bits when minimum rates were needed (to prevent the uninitiated chasing the rates down off the scale), and there were still no limits on how much you could buy (attractive loans were all bought up at the minimum rate, and then sold to the uninitiated at a mark up (hence an even lower rate) seconds later).
The ABLRate system works fine, IFF we can have some control over bidding for some period, so we can actually read the documents, and buy some. If people want to sell 'their fair share**' at a mark-up, that's OK too .. that's what markets are for. ABLRate is one of very few platforms where you can actually buy, or sell, almost all the loans almost all the time .. 'at a price'.
(** But we can then have a big debate about what a 'fair share' is, and whether your spouse, and/or children, or pet cat, are entitled to a share too).

A little less fuss than on some other boards this afternoon (I know, I know, that comment will come back to haunt me I'm sure)

From an e-mail on October 25: "Upcoming Loans - We have £*** in the immediate pipeline and, some of you will very happy to hear, £*** in a potential aircraft transaction that is being worked on presently but it is very early days."
