I will have a look at this. I have been lending through Lendwithcare for a few years now, recycling about £400 every few months... Will look at similarities..

Hi guys, we are up around $4325 lent out, any chance you could lend to individuals (mainly third world) for no benefit to yourself apart from a good chance to get most of the money back (if you want it)? Somewhere, the sun is firmly over the arm-yard! That's all I'm saying Edit; wow $4600 lent by today. Just in terms of P2P loans, Kiva's figures are $1.08 billion lent repayment rate 97% 2.7 million borrowers 1.7 million lenders lender rate ......0% or less with defaults. |

Are you sure about that credit card info @leopardcat? Whilst it is true that neither Kiva or Paypal will charge for using a credit card ( website quote: Kiva is the first organization that PayPal has supported by providing free payment processing), your credit card provider is still likely to charge a fixed per transaction fee (often around £3.50) when using a credit card for foreign currency cash transactions, and also a currency conversion fee of around 3%. Correct me if I am wrong. We now await member number 32 joining the Kiva P2P lending team. Join up and lend out a little of you p2p investment profits!

Just about to tick past $8000, when a couple of pledges get fully funded, that represents a $5000 increase in just 6 months since this thread was started - Well Done all involved & if that does not including you please take a couple of moments to check them out & see if you might want to help. There are loans to suit every type of endeavour & I can think of very little else better than helping some of the world's poorest people succeed & improve their outlook through their own efforts.
