I may know who this person is. Please don't PM as I am not saying and that is final.
But I know of a media luvvy who recently went bust. Whether I have the right person or not he or she has clearly not got the advertising contract he/she expected and is now racking up interest like no tomorrow so this is on the cards for my FA league?

I didnt look into this one when it came up, madness to invest though someone put £20k in. Presumably he has no assets to put up as security or they are already hocked. I hope it turns out ok for lenders. Anyone that looks at this board will know the risks with FS so it is possible that most investors dont read the board. I think it is disgraceful that FS put it up, just shows how unethical they are, how can they put up an unsecured loan when their company name and their website is about security based on assets; beggars belief.

What is a VIP - a Very Indebted Person
This has been going on since March 2016 although granted the loan has come down to £91K - if we take 2 years at 30% interest that is well over £50K in interest alone. Not sure how long this person can keep payig such rates although to be honest I was expecting a default before now. Ths latest loan is now 3 months late. What is to stop this person going into voluntary bankruptcy (if not already done) and saying "Thank you and Goodnight" to FS? I think this is one for my FA league as not convinced this person can get yet another FS renewal...

You can try searching the Individual Insolvency Register to see if that celeb you won't tell us about* is on it, although you may have to track down their real name rather any stage name they go by. And, in answer to the question, absolutely nothing. That's the risk of lending against unsecured loans. (And if I've tracked this back correctly, the title of the original loan (1089233557) and every renewal since has included "UNSECURED LOAN".) *_ go on, give us the first letter of their stage surname, just to narrow it down a bit.

no chance!
Not sure if this is who I think it is now- granted one of their companies went bust but seems to be bouncing back now - current company accounts are very complicated but seem to be healthy now....

It would be nice to have an update from FS on this one - nothing since 23rd of May.
I wonder how long they will let this one run for without payments before they take legal action.
Over 9 months now on a 6 month loan.

'We've been in touch with the borrower threatening legal action. This seems to have prompted a response with a promise of payment within the next two weeks.'

'We've been in touch with the borrower threatening legal action. This seems to have prompted a response with a promise of payment within the next two weeks.' I'm totally sure that will work....

sure it will - unless it causes this person to take legal advice about going bust...

sure it will - unless it causes this person to take legal advice about going bust... Surely that wouln't be the best course of action for a high profile individual given the amount involved.

It took me a few seconds to realise who radioactive moggie are? I was thinking that there was actually a well-known beat combo called radioactive moggie.

It is now four weeks since the last update which said that legal action had been threatened and that payment had been promised "within two weeks".
I think it is time for another update, FS.
I hope the court claim form has been sent to the court.
If this is a high profile individual, then they won't want a court claim for unpaid debt.
Let's hope that they have sufficient assets. If they have, then a court claim form arriving on their doormat should concentrate the mind.

Perhaps get them to sell off a few autographed items at £20 a time on eBay until they get the dosh if they are so famous.
