I saw that, but it's just the old-fashioned alphanumeric Captcha they've developed a system to tackle. That's a long way from solving Google's reCAPTCHA, as used on a couple of P2P platforms.

Google, of course, have a bot with access to the 'big data' which means it could easily pass the test. Much easier then playing Jeopardy.

This is totally irrelevant. As there are MANYservices (deathbycaptcha, 2 captcha, etc) that allow you to send captcha images to the service, these services hire manual laborers who solve the captchas and send back the success response. These services are incredibly cheap and allow developers to easily bypass captchas with 100% accuracy.
