As it happens I live in Ashbourne and so took a look at the site from the public highway. At present the only work that I can see is the removal of some large shrubs.
I have no stake in this loan, but I'm more than happy to keep updating this thread as and when.

yes please , i have vastley more faith in AC than other peer to peer companies but we do not want a Whitehaven and all oversite of progress on development projects is reassuring.

Back from my stroll and I can report the following from a glorious, sunny, all be it cold enough to freeze the brass whatsits off a you know what, Derbyshire.
1. Security/working/HSE fencing is now up
2. Notice of pending demolition from the district council attached to prominent lamp posts, walls etc (Consultation expiry date was 28/11/2017)
3. People on site
4. Small bonfire in grounds (just painting a picture)

Its reported as a very cold day probably your correct, fire just warming through the building labours nuts

 Back from walkies. For all you weather buffs out there, it's grey and damp. Anyhow the build, I am pleased to report that the majority of the house has been demolished. Sorry for not being able to show the part of the house still standing: some chap kept talking to me. It looks like it's the original Georgian bit still standing, but its time is nigh. Greetings all, just back from my lung opener on a gloriously sunny Ashbourne day. There's some limited progress from my last posting. A container from a demolition firm is on site; my guess is that they're salvaging any period stuff worth saving. No stories today, but I can report that the old building has been completely razed. A large pile of bricks is all that remains with a big yellow excavator resting on top.

Normally, a building would be razed with the excavator, you are saying they've also raised the excavator with the building? Neat  |

Had a quick look at the site today. The pile of bricks has been transformed into a road of bricks. The big yellow excavator has been replaced with a smaller orange excavator. Not much of a progress report but progress nevertheless. ibb.co/hcnnHx |

Walked past the site today in glorious sunshine. The big pile of bricks has gone and now there is a big, deep hole in the ground.
