What is the loan exchange market like? Do loans come up often, and, if so, how long do they stay for? I assume there are no discounts are premiums?
Thanks

I have been monitoring this over the past week or so as I am considering opening an ISA. There appears little or no movement. All I see are 2 loans which have sat there unloved. Has this become the norm now? Using the Loan Exchange would normally be a good way to diversify for a new investor, but so far there seems no activity. With this lack of activity it does make me wonder why the 2 available loans are not selling. Can any seasoned investors shed any light on the current situation?

Other loan parts come and and go very quickly. It does take time to get diversified on this platform - I did it by transferring in 5-10 k ISA chunks at a time to avold too much cash drag

I have just opened an ISA and initiated a money transfer, but I assume it will be Monday at the earliest before I see it in my account.

These asset backed, income producing, discerning investor bought loan parts are for keeps 😎.

There were a couple of morsels which appeared shortly after my first post here. Unfortunately it was weekend and I had no cash deposited. Cash available now, but loans long gone

Some of a hotel which looked like it was P40 on Ly once upon a time. I can’t remember the other (a B loan I think, but not sure which it was).

Loans are few and infrequent and when one came up, I could not login at all (probably due to website being unable to cope).

I presume you're talking about an In Funding loan here waryinvestor - Did you report your login problems to us? Website availability shouldn't have been an issue even if some of our loans fully-fund very quickly. We have another In Funding loan going live at midday today. Enable Auto-Lend this morning to be automatically allocated to Tranche A. The facility runs for the currently available PLE loans after 3pm each day. Richard

As a new investor with Proplend and trying to build a diversified portfolio, I would really like to make use of the PLE. The problem is that apart from the 2 'permanent' loans, very little comes up and when it does it goes quickly. This means that if you see something you have to decide almost immediately whether to buy or not without looking into the loan details. Would it be possible to enable an "INFO" button on the Completed Loans page for all of the active loans (similar to that on the Pending Loans page)? We would then be able to research all active loans and decide which we want to invest in (and which tranche to risk) BEFORE they appear on the PLE. proplend

I think it's fair to say that Lenders investing in our loans tend to do so for the duration of the term, which of course means that they don't tend to make them available on the secondary market - and when they do, they're very liquid. The two loans currently with good availability on the PLE were relatively large, with institutional funds helping to fully-fund them in a relatively short space of time. The availability of loans like these offers new lenders the opportunity to diversify into two already active loans when they sign up - as well as in In Funding loans as they become available, like today's new loan.
