Is this a campaign to keep investors who signed up for the previous bonus as the anniversary is approaching? I don't mind topping up for a small reward, but if everyone does it, will it simply contribute to increasing cash drag and continuing interest rate drop?
There was a "good news" e-mail this morning. It comes in tune with my November reinvestment was matched on the same day. One single rate model is also promising, but isn't it too quick to encourage more lending at this stage?

The phrasing of the email would suggest that it is for existing investors only, ie. increase your existing investment by 20%. Note that the bonus is 1% of your total investment including the extra 20% not the 20% in the thread title. The cash drag was of the order of 1-3 days until today when it all but disappeared, hence the bonus offer.

The cash drag is appalling on this platform.
Looks like they have learned little with this latest campaign. Rates started at 6.5% when I joined, now it is 5.2% but that is with no cash drag which never happens. I reckon I achieve easily below 4%, thus the bulk of my instant return lending is with RS where I'm averaging around 4.5%+. Also RS is instant return, GS is monthly return, though of course much of the time your cash is available as it is usually sat waiting to be lent.

If Growth Street are monitoring this thread, I would prefer to have a proper market (with instant lending possible at the marginal rate) rather than an artificial RoI and a queue of up to £600K

I'd imagine the e-mails are sent to all lenders. I receive all of them. Could they possibly be in your junk/spam folder?

Definitely did not get that email. Very surprised by the offer, as Lenders cash outweighs Borrower demand by £2.5m, which is more than 25%! See www.growthstreet.co.uk/investing/statistics I do not understand the business rationale.

See www.growthstreet.co.uk/investing/statistics I do not understand the business rationale. Something changed around 1st Dec and the borrower total has gone up by £2m. See www.growthstreet.co.uk/lend-order-statistics for the latest borrower total. A few more offers have appeared since they launched the 20% bonus.

No email here either though I got the one about rates a few days ago ........ Don't think the 1% for another year commitment will persuade my wallet to open .....

Agreed, 1% is not enough (around 5% + extra 1% still leaves rates lower than the 6.5% we started out with)'
But a 20% bonus, as the thread title mischeavously suggests, would certainly get some real attention.
(and I know that long word above is spelt wrongly, but what use are spell checkers if they (most annoyingly) do not tell you what the correct spelling is!

Anyone have a view as to whether the bonus is taxable?

Anyone have a view as to whether the bonus is taxable? Depends how it will be shown on the account... normally it would not be taxed because this bonus is to attact your interest to invest (just like joining bonus). But if they stick it on your total interest earnings without separating it, then it would mix all things up!

Don't understand why others didn't get it? 1% is very little, but I don't see it as a commitment. You can still withdraw before 15th Dec 2018, all you will loose is that little bonus. I went for it. Funds were invested next day after deposit. I'll wait until May (anniversary for receiving my sign-up bonus). After that, if rates fall below RS rolling I will withdraw.

What address was the bonus email from? The rates etc one was from greg@gs and I've had others from support@gs and freddie. Wondering if the bonus one came from a different sender?
