Bit difficult when you can't find the new bank details anywhere on their site. Maybe I need glasses? Otherwise seems they'll post the details from midnight tonight? Made a transfer to MT some 3/4h ago to existing bank. No reaction as yet. Wonder if this is in no man's land whilst transitioning to the new bank. Will report if it is credited later today. MT has just confirmed my deposit.

Ah yes you are correct, I thought I seen the details in an email, but have mixed that up with one from Assetz who are also updating their bank details due to Barclays ring fencing. Oh well will just have to resort to asking Alexa to remind me :-) From a chat I had at a Barclays branch the other day (yes, branches still exist!) I believe that Barclays are the guinea pig for this separation exercise and in time it'll be rolled out to all banks. For those of us who maintain several high interest current accounts this will be a right PITA, oh and thank you very much Tesco for ending my savings DDs.

Ring fencing should not impact any UK retail bank accounts so I wouldn't be too concerned.

Barclays business accounts have already had their sort codes altered because of the ring-fencing exercise - there is a crossover period of 12 months or so where the old sort code can still be used to make payments successfully (or at least there is with my own business). Business accounts at other banks may well follow suit in future, although I believe that personal bank accounts will not be affected.

In case you didn't get an email:
"Following our correspondence last week, we have delayed moving our bank accounts to Metro Bank until Tuesday 2nd January."

Ah! Nope, didn't get the email, thank you. There's a new loan tomorrow, see Pending. I missed both emails on Friday but have received two today.

I did a withdrawal - should have done a smaller amount for the first time. Doesn't seem to be processed as quickly, but could be down to being first day back from holidays / monitoring things, amount arrived at my bank ok.
Made a fast transfer deposit of £1 to check it arrives and new payee correctly set up at bank ready for when needed. Funds of £1 arrived using new account details. All looks to be working didn't time it exactly within 1/2 hour I would say.
All looks ready for when needed.

All good here with the new account details. Token amount credited OK and withdrawal of the current balance both went through within the customary few minutes. LW
