Back up now and everything looks ok, except there are still loans that haven't been unwound.
I wonder how that happened. Did someone offer some parts of those loans in the secondary market that were bought up by multiple investors simultaneously?

Ignore the above -- the question was answered in another thread.
Hadn't realised that we'd cross posted. Thanks for the confirmation. I happened to be logged in to their site when it went down so it was a bit of a surprise! I guess it might happen frequently for all I know, but it's the first time I've ever had any type of problem with It.

SS still have two loans with negative amounts available, so this still hasn't been sorted. Either SS have a problem, or they've taken the weekend off.
I think it's the latter as I commented on the instant Deposit thread. You can't really blame them for taking time off especially as they're a small team, but I think it does indicate that they could do with a bit more automation, and it really is about time this particular bug had an automatic fix applied, it's been occurring ever since I joined SS - all of three months ago .
Well, credit where credit is due. They may not have been tied to the desk on Friday, but I got a reply to an email this morning saying they had unwound a deposit for me, and as noted elsewhere they sorted out the four overfunded loans. Once again thanks to savingstream for their responsiveness. Lets hope they can iron out some of their bugs soon, but really nothing much to complain about.

If savingstream get their act together, iron out technical issues, have a steadier & heavier stream of loans with good backing assets, I can see them as a serious entity in p2p lending in 12 months' time

Yes, I agree, it's an opportune time for them to gear up - let's hope they don't miss the boat!
