Mintos has added an investment structure filter (Direct/Indirect) both in PM, SM and Autoinvest. That's a great addition imho!
Keep up the good work, Mintos!

Mintos has added an investment structure filter (Direct/Indirect) both in PM, SM and Autoinvest. That's a great addition imho! Keep up the good work, Mintos! direct means you get first rights on the particular loan repayment in case the buyback guarantee defaults? and indirect that you just have a general claim against defaulted originator in that case?

Exactly, direct means a claim against the borrower, indirect means the claim is against the loan originator.

hmmm, i like the idea but how would this work in the real world? if you invest euro 10 per loan, and a loan originator goes broke and you have all 'direct' claims, how are you going to get your money back? go to court for e10/investment?
or do you guys, who use direct claims, invest e1000+ /loan?

It seems both could be a hassle to try to get your money back - either from borrower or loan originator

Someone else suggested that with an indirect investment structure. The investment would be secured against a security deposit from the loan provider. Mintos was not certain themselves if this was the case.

It seems both could be a hassle to try to get your money back - either from borrower or loan originator Mintos have step in rights and can colllect or (more likely) appoint a third party. I’d fancy paying collection fees rather than take a punt on anything being left in the bankruptcy pot (judging by U.K. statement of affairs anyway). I’m jumping between threads as a potential newby, my 1st question is making sure Eurocent was “indirect” and these loan structures are being implemented/adhered to.
