Hi everyone, As some of you seem to have already noticed, ISA transfers into Octopus Choice are now available! There's been a lot of demand from users of this forum since we launched our ISA last summer, and we've been working hard on them ever since. For those interested, we've tried to make the process as easy as possible. There's three simple steps to get set-up: 1. Give us details of your existing ISA and we'll prepopulate a transfer form 2. Download, print off and post to your existing ISA provider 3. We'll do the rest and let you know when the transfer's complete If you don't already have an Octopus Choice ISA account, you'll need to set one of these up, too. But that should only take a couple of minutes. Of course, because investments are concentrated in loans secured against property, they could be affected by market conditions. And for the same reason, instant access to your money can't be guaranteed. You should know that the value of an investment can fall as well as rise, and you may not get back the full amount they invest. The Octopus Choice ISA isn't a flexible ISA. Any withdrawals that you make from this year's money will still count towards your ISA allowance. Tax treatment is subject to change and depend on individual circumstances. Please let me know if there's any questions. Or feel free to check out our updated FAQ, too. As always, if you've any feedback on any of the process, we'd love you to share it. Thanks, Joe

Got an email on 23rd to say that transfer had been received, but it is now 26th and not credited to my account. Maybe they are waiting for the cheque to clear, but if so it would be better to make this clear in the email.

You've hit the nail on the head there – it will be that the cheque needs to clear before your money gets invested. We're already in the process of updating the emails to reflect this. I am really sorry for the confusion!

I am really sorry for the confusion! Now 29th and still no funds. Cheques take a long time to clear! Time that some Building Societies moved into the 21C and sent funds electronically. They stopped paying interest when they wrote the cheque and I can't expect Octopus to start until the cheque clears, but someone has had the cash all this time without paying any interest on it. Edit: Now 31st and still not arrived! Appalling.
