I think Ed got the sums wrong again (must have forgot the number of new punters since the last new loan release? Or maybe smaller limits just didn't appeal). Hopefully there'll be some more cars along before too long.

Hopefully there'll be some more cars along before too long. My apologies, yes I did get the sums wrong. Will lower the limits going forwards on these but because of the relative smaller sizes of these loans I suspect that it will be difficult to get the balance right (also taking into consideration the increasing number of lenders but also the high value of uninvested funds in the client account at the moment). Will try better. Regards, Ed.

No chocolate for you Ed, same story here - thinking I would have time early afternoon, log in and they have gone, but small loans and expect like buses another will be along soon enough.

It doesn't seem too huge a sum to miss out on and I'm not sure the effort of clicking a mouse button is warranted by much less. They were small loans but still good number were able to participate. For those who weren't there'll be something else coming along. Can't please all the people all the time but sounds fine to me.

True, but you have to toss in that, historically, many of these have renewed one or more times, so the £4.50 might be a bit higher. Personally I'd have been happy with £100 (thus £3) for pushing the button, if it had kept more players in the game. Ditto on the £250 limit one (where yes, I (just) got MY £250, but that's not really the point).

I don't think a slightly lower amount would have changed demand, I mean even £25 slices sell like hotcakes most of the time, I suspect a few factors
Recent lack of new loans has demand higher than usual Newcomers to the platform Guaranteed months interest Actual amount of loan ratio to peoples maximums
There will never be a perfect number of slices, as long as people have a reasonable chance to get in then we should all be happy Some may say that 4 mins is unreasonable, possibly so, but in reality anyone who logged in within a 3 minute window would have got their slice
If we see more supply I think people will worry less. I bet you start to see some of these on the SM within a couple of weeks.

I think I've missed something, but I have £0 interest received so far. Has anyone else been paid?

For the benefit of anyone that didn't receive an email, MT are launching 4 new car loans tomorrow. Bidding starts at 12pm. - 70% LTV (V = Glasses Guide retail price)
- 12% Rate
- Existing borrower (proposal states same as other loans with 'MTAX' prefix, but I assume that was a typo and that MoneyThing meant 'MTAZ').
Maximum available over all four loans combined during the initial bidding period is is £525.

Are investments/loans in car sales really the place we should be investing in going forward considering the past 4 months industry sales figures plus ancillary negative press surrounding a range of associated motor trade subjects?

You possibly shouldn't, but I will.
