Nice to get your money back but what does one do with it now. Zilch on the SM.

Nice to get your money back but what does one do with it now. Zilch on the SM. Exactly! I keep logging back on and hoping a few £'s might have come along since last time I looked but am not quick enough it would seem, that or no-one is currently in the market to sell :-(

For the first time in quite a while i've had to withdraw funds from MT, in search of pastures new. Hopefully there will be some new MT loans soon! The recent pipeline update looked promising but doesn't it always...

As well as the pipeline the CSP loans restructure must be soon.

Indeed - it was due in early November. Extra weeks of delay mean extra weeks where the money can be earning interest elsewhere though. I will be drinking my fill of CSP restructures when they appear, don't get me wrong, but until then I won't be leaving funds sitting idly.

Nice to get your money back but what does one do with it now. Zilch on the SM. When repayment is made and there is nothing on the platform to reinvest in, I withdraw and invest it elsewhere. There are several p2p accounts (e.g. QAA on AC) that allow quick investments and withdrawals in exchange for lower interest rates. I also use low rate instant access bank accounts for temporary storage of cash waiting to be invested.

There appears to be a dearth of quality offerings across most platforms & I wonder if this is indicative of a general slowdown in the economy. House prices are cooling, car & retail sales stagnating as well as the general Brexit unease. We may be entering a period where cash is king & some of the so called 'safer' platforms with lower rates & terms are proving increasingly attractive.

The LTV on these is a curious set up in truth, ultimately it is realistically 90% of purchase price. Not a lot of leeway to work with in a trade sale. Having said that cars are a lot less trouble to sell than land or houses, and the associated costs are a lot less. I'm inclined to have a punt on this first batch and see what happens, only a few months needed to see how they pan out. Morning. Just as an FYI, the LTPP (loan to purchase price), of the first two cars (Porsche 911 & Mercedes AMG GT), were 64% & 73% respectively. The original 911 is likely to be repaid this Friday & the Mercedes next week (both have had deposits on them). Regards, Ed. Hi MoneyThing , is the Merc still likely to be redeemed shortly?

Latest update (18/1/18) Suggests all is well but there is no mention of redemption (due 18/2/18) or indeed an extension. Would MT care to comment please? LW MoneyThing

I must've logged in just beforehand, I did notice that there were no renewal boxes though. The FP424-30 and FP53-8 will likely repay by close of play tomorrow according to the support update too.* I do wish they'd send out emails when loans repay, even if we're expecting them. In Edit: * er... as noticed hours ago on the appropriate thread

I wonder if they aren't saying as they don't wish to continue with these sorts of loans..
