Is it the case then, that if I have say £100 in a loan that “goes wrong” that that £100 somehow leaves the tax wrapper? How wrong does it have to go? Does the £100 move to the AC regular account? Don’t like the sound of that at all. I think daveb4 means you cannot offset any loss inside an IFISA against other income made elsewhere in your P2P portfolio. So lets say you make a net loss on all your loans on platform A of £1000 but make a gain on platforms B of £2000 you are only liable for tax on £1000 beind the net taxable income. However if platform A happened to be in an IFISA then you cannot take the loss to offset against non-IFISA so you pay tax on the whole £2000 earned outside the IFISA. Selecting a platform and portfolio with the least liklihood of a loss inside your IFISA is important I think.I disagree. If we accept that least likelihood of loss = lowest interest rate, you are then minimising your tax benefit of the ISA. The more interest inside an ISA, the more tax relief. What you want is the highest probable NET interest after losses. So it depends on whether you think your NET interest is higher with the higher risk platforms or not.

We operate a 'flexible ISA' meaning current year subscriptions can be withdrawn from us and reinvested with us with no loss of relief - please contact the helpdesk for more details.

Anyone else with loan requests in their ISA MIA sitting there awaiting to purchase when funds are available? I have about a dozen requests either not filled or partly filled all with 'units available', appreciate they are mostly less than £100. 1 though has £18k available. I put the requests on at least 24 hours ago.
I presume the money available is possibly being used by AC elsewhere eg tfs between GBBA type accounts?

Its possible that the system is so busy that it just hasn't got round to those loans yet, though for 24h that seems unlikely. Hope you don't mind my mentioning this, but sometimes when this question comes up it's because the user doesn't actually have funds available in the MLA pot, and is assuming that money in "cash" or "QAA" will automatically be used. Worth a check: you need to have funds available for investment in the MLA section. If you think there is a real problem then your best bet would be to raise it with AC support rather than hope for an answer here.

No problem mentioning but cash is in ready to go. It is nearly all small beer stuff but a little unusual. So much going on with GBBA changes and people buying/selling and reorganising ISA''s I bet the IT is a little under pressure

If you could give it 24 hours then if you're still having issues report it via PM to me with your email address then I'll look into it.

I've been seeing something similar for the last couple of days, but in each case it does seem to work out eventually. It almost looks as if it is taking around 24 hours for a full cycle to happen, for every loan to be visited.

Same here, I just reported it using the On-Line Chat thingy. They said, "We have been told this morning that the aftermarket is running slow" I said I'd some buys were taking a day and still haven't happened. They said they'd look in it etc.
