That is correct.. We have slowed down the lending process in preparation for some very exciting releases and news very soon. More to follow on this. I'm looking forward to see what it is. Something has already happened. Loged in just now and most of my uninvested money are lent

...Lending seems quite speedy at present, took 3 days from assignment to full allocation last week.... ...At first lending was slow, as expected, but soon it normalised to 1-3 days for investment to be lent... Are you guys still seeing funds being invested within 3 days? I made my first deposit on the platform exactly 7 days ago, and so far none of it has been lent out - are there any published queue time/length statistics anywhere or can anyone share some up-to-date experience? FINALLY, after 13 days some of my funds have today now started to be invested (just 30% of my initial deposit so far though)... that's quite some cash drag! EDIT: 100% of my initial deposit is now invested (after 14 days)

LOL I've made two trial investments this week and they were both fully lent out in less than 1 day. Let's hope the returns arrive as reliably.+

I'm not sure if this is the exiting news but WLU have introduced the function to re-add 'additional earnings' to the lending queue. Previously it was only possible to reinvest 'additional earnings' by depositing another minimum of £100 first. This move significantly reduces cash drag and puts compound earnings to work, maximising returns.
I'm very happy with this move, would be even happier if this was not the exiting news.

Thanks Proptechfish, it's definitely good news, but I'd be surprised if it was the exciting news. Oh the tension...

Hi Proptechfish, Where is this function, I can't find an option to lend or not lend interest earned anywhere? Or is interest automatically added to the lending queue? If that is the case how do we choose not to relend interest? Is there a minimum amount that can be re-lent as I appear to have a number of small amounts queued but not being lent, including 58p from one of my original investments which never got lent out. Many thanks.

If you have £100 deposited on a 10% diversification (ie. £10 loan parts) and you add £2 of idle funds your loan part value going forward will automatically accommodate the added funds. In this case going from £10 loan parts to £10.20 loan parts

In this case going from £10 loan parts to £10.20 loan parts That's odd, I don't have the 'Investment top up' setting! I've adopted the process of changing the diversification setting from 10% to 10.5% once the initial investment has been fully lent out. I haven't been able to check that this works yet as I'm only one week in to my Welendus journey. My hope is that once the first £10 loan (of a £100 investment) is repayed with a few pence of interest (say 12p) it will then be relent as £10.12. It should have the advantage of lending out the full interest (up to 50p in this case) to the next available loan. This is not ideal as it will eventually require me to re-raise the diversification setting to minimise the cash drag.

I'm finding this platform a little confusing. Maybe nsiam could help with this query? Many thanks.

To answer your example directly if you had £10.12 returned meaning your total balance was £100.12 and diversification was set to 10% your loan parts going forward would be £10.01 with £0.02 queued indefinitely. Your diversification setting automatically updates your loan part value based on your total balance. I'm not sure why you have increased to 10.5% diversification but cash drag for un-assignable funds should be no more than £0.09. It's worth noting that balances of over £200 can be diversified by 5%.
