Seriously... in the current circumstances... The site is perfectly fine. A new low in my opinion. Congrats ablrate , below is your website error message using a sinking ship.
As you were so quick to publicly denigrate me, please ensure you are as quick in your apology.
I have a significant part of my funds invested in your platform but I'm perfectly prepared to invest somewhere else that insults their investors less.
(Yesterday was a smashed up car ie your website has been down at least temporarily on more than one occasion in the last 2-3 days).

I think you had your apology about 24 hours ago, in this very thread.

LOL - a sinking ship?! That deserves the #YouHadOneJob Twitter handle.

I may have overreacted...my apologies. I appreciated it was a reaction and tongue-in-cheek from the commentors, however I have received several emails and calls from very worried people who have a lot of money with the p2p platform concerned. It would have been OK under normal circumstances and would have been met with a mea culpa but at the time I just thought that it was in poor taste to make a comment like that when some people are coming here to try and get information and we have "ABL is down" "hope its not like C******"... One would have hoped that this would have been recognized as sensitive and someone would have called the office or emailed first. However... I could have made a comment like that which explained things better.... Anyway... the downtime was the fix to the concurrent execution issue... most visible with the slight over funding of the latest loan. Two bids were made 250 milliseconds apart and were both execute... we made the update, which should have had no affect at all on the site (hence no notice), but the update cause a short outage. This change of codes protects against double trade execution and bids. As above elliotm. My reaction was triggered after having spoken with and after having emailing some very worried people. Again, apologies. The graphic is present for server errors and randomly chosen by the developers..a sinking ship... probably not their finest hour.. I will concede that! What image would you prefer...and by way of apology and conciliatory gesture we will enshrine it on the page in your honor.... ....as long as it's not boaty mcboatface or something as equally internet crackers... Lets move on from here.. plenty of positive things coming soon.. including a secondary market trading update page next week, that gives up to date credit data via api..and hopefully at the same time... previous trading price graphs.. We are guaranteed to have a few minutes of server down time when we upload that..so make your error page choice a good one..

Elliottm, I think you are taking this too personally. True, the Ablrate post followed yours directly but it was a reply to the thread, not just to you personally. It did not quote or denigrate you individually. The platform rep has to maintain higher standards than the lenders on these forums, and Ablrate has acknowledged that, more so than I have seen from other platforms.

/Mod hat OFF elliotn - are you trying to drive DBW away from the forum? I get the impression he's thick skinned but still we all have our limits. Personally, I respect your analysis and criticism on loans such as that on the recent portfolio loan borrower but on the graphic issue you don't come across as your avatar would imply. I'm no stranger to providing criticism when I think it's due, an example being the recent ProClub issue, but I would suggest you choose your battles carefully in future, you don't want to end up on locutus' block list:) It's been a difficult week for P2P but any concerns could have been allayed with a quick call to the office, the down time was in office hours at least.

Eilliotm is entitled to his opinion.. I overreacted .. apologised.. nothing to see here.. lets move on before someone slaps me in tbe face with a glove and demands satisfaction...
..I was in the military but never was a great shot, so I would like to avoid 'pistols at dawn'.. although I am deadly with an adjustable spanner and set of eagle beaks.

Now that really is beyond the limit. He admits to the historical abuse of some of our most iconic and endangered birds!

I don't care what the image looks like with one exception. It must not look anything like this......

I vote for blenders image that's hilarious Thanks, but the idea came from macq and the image was taken from the net (chameleons can't draw). In any case, the choice has been given to elliottm. Rather bravely. I just hope he does not choose a half submerged shipping container floating off towards the sunset with an error code on the side.
