Borrower has advised they have a purchaser sufficient to repay the loan in full. We are expecting further details by the end of the week.
Will this party pooper spoil the celebrations planned for reaching the 1,000 day landmark in 22 days from now?

Anyone keeping track of how often FS say they have a purchaser who doesn't purchase? I know that when I read this in the updates I plain don't believe the assertion, but perhaps I've just been unfortunate as it's never worked out for me.

15/10/2018 We are expecting further details by the end of the week. For some unsurprising reason I read that as "We are expecting further delays by the end of the week"

I think it's slightly more frequent than the equity investor who doesn't invest - if that helps.

FS updates, and updates from borrowers, are sourced from the Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy. They "contain much that is apochryphal or at least wildly innacurate".

The 1,000 day mark has passed without any fanfare.
I was hoping that FS would organise some sort of event at the site with perhaps a hog roast and some mulled wine to provide some winter cheer.
When I think of this loan, all that comes into my head are images of tumbleweeds.

"The Hyndburn Saga - this one has everything, 1001 stories from around the world, all the highs and for each a matching low, the gripping tale of the Swiss transaction, previously unheard of revocable letters of credit, mysterious meetings in London, leading inexorably to the latest gripping episode when H.A. Broker rides in to... have a meeting with someone or other."
Such a relief that the FS systems don't crash when loan days click over to 4 digits, I wonder if they support 5 digits...

I think FS is saving any celebration for the 5000th day

Are your legal advisers still with us FS?
This rubbish has gone on for far too long
02/01/2019
We continue to be in discussions with the borrower regarding the possible sale to the Local Housing Association, but progress has stalled. We are therefore seeking legal advice on the best route to recover our investor's funds. Further updates will be available once our legal advisers have given us their opinion.

I have chased this via chat a couple of times and have been told that an update request has been logged but it seems that FS are taking no action on this loan and it is now over 3 months since their last message to lenders.
On a brighter note, in another 3 months or so the loan will have been active for 1234 days exactly matching one of the most common passwords, perhaps that will be the secret key that unlocks the treasure.

I too have chased them with respect to their dilatory legal advisers. Waste of my time. Another one for the Ombudsman me thinks.

A lot like the Lytham St Annes update posted on the same day. Does it really take over 3 months to get legal advice? Wow.

I would stop wasting your time. Every useless update we have had to date indicates that FS has zero intention of putting this deal into Administration. Why? Only they know - mate from the pub? reputational damage? Can't be bothered with these whinging investors? Not enough staff to chase up the poor payers? Perhaps we should have a competition to see who can come up with the best reason for this abysmal failure by FS to look after the interests of lenders. Thank the stars I stuck to my resolve not to lend any further money via them.
