I have been getting small 'Repayment of loan' entries in my transaction list. I've contacted Unbolted who tell me that these can be interest, capital or a bit of both and that they are working on separating the interest out (I assume as a separate entry). Before I spend hours trying to work out how to handle these I thought I'd check here in case anyone had a simple way of dealing with them as they are playing havoc with my spreadsheet because I can't tell what they are. That means once a repayment comes in I have no idea how much is still outstanding on that loan as I don't know if the capital has reduced or not. Is there a simple and/or obvious way to deal with these?
Thanks in (hopeful) anticipation

I find Unbolted by far the hardest platform to reconcile and track properly in a spreadsheet. The only way I can be sure I know how much of the mini-payment was capital and how much interest is to check what UB say I have outstanding in the loan ON THE DAY OF THE REPAYMENT NOTICATION. It has to be on the same day because they include accrued interest in the 'Your current investment in this loan' figure. Thus you can tell that of the 11 pence repayment they told you about, a penny was interest and 10 pence was returned capital. If you don't review the outstanding amounts until a few days after your notification, you're just guessing at the proportion of each. I like the type of loans on UB but the amount of time it takes me to keep track of them is insane.

Not easy, but for the time being you'll just need to sit on your hands too. It bothers me less these days........... For curiosity (WAY too much work manually to do regularly) you can see the repayment details on each loan's page and could probably* then work out the payments/proportions based on your %age of the loan ............. * no, i haven't. Really. CBA.

Thank you both for your help. I think I have managed to reconcile the repayments I have so far - at least the way I've split the repayments makes sense to me. Hopefully it matches how Unbolted have split it.

All we need now is a fully formatted version for download to excel/csv. ashwinp?

I think it's progress but instead of the transactions appearing on one page I now have to trawl through 30 pages of ctrl-a ctrl-c ctrl-v into my spreadsheet. I can hear the voices of Unbolted now... "give them what they ask for and they still moan"

Ashwin's on the trigger this afternoon!
His reply (posted with consent):
Hi T
Thanks. We will put it on the list and get it implemented (the date formatting will be implemented in the next couple of days). Since the numbers are computed, generating a csv "live" on a large portfolio can take a bit of time and we will implement something where that can be done in the background and made available to download later or emailed to the lender.
Kind Regards, Ashwin
I replied that an end of week download or email would suit me fine, as I only reconcile accounts weekly, but may not be everyone's idea of useful.............

I'm trying to download my full transaction history by capturing each page but I'm getting a "500 - Internal server error" on page 6. I just wondered whether I was alone in this problem? The page I'm having problems with is: unbolted.com/uk/lenders/balance/?page=6Note that you'll need more than 250 transaction before you require a sixth page.

No problem with my page 6 (and I downloaded all 15 pages of my history this morning). Presumably there is something on page 6 of your transactions that is causing the server to fall over.

It was fixed less than 30 mins after sending an email to Unbolted. And out of normal business hours too, hats off ashwinp
