I had a similar problem. Logging into my wife's account would take a few seconds after entering the security question response. Logging into my account would take about 30 seconds. This was consistent and happened on whichever computer i used. I never actually received a timeout. Then, sometime in the last week things changed. Now it takes a few seconds for both accounts so whatever caused the 30 second delay with my login seems to have been fixed.
