I am afraid that "pathetic" regarding the FCA does not go anywhere near my assessment of the FCA in this matter. Totally incompetent sounds nearer but still does not sum up my sentiment!

Has the report been done ? Annoyingly it's proving more complex than I realised. I'm still going with it but might be a few more days. I will still reward donors with early access though ... and those who have donated I don't have your e-mail addresses :s

Thanks for this - clearly something is very wrong here ! One of the founders of the companies mentioned with a clean record has been on the TV - one of my favourite programmes - I doubt if he is impressed. Not sure where he stands legally so will wait for your full report This and other loans on your site are totally fascinating which is no comfort to those people scammed
I have sent you a couple of nibbles - do you need me to send you my email address ?
Here is part of a contract from a proper pawnbrokers
Well seems clear enough to me - so just how can FS excuse this? In fact how the hell did this "mistake" occurr - I won't state what I think may have happened...
Thanks

It is understood the borrower has made an application to the Court of Appeal.

Surely this is a stalling tactic and nothing else - given what judgements and legal comments already made about this bloke I think this is plain silly!
Oh well on the plus side I think it shows he is getting worried about his pension pot (lovely!) because if the loan did not survive the bankcruptcy then he could have walked away but luckily the loan still stands...

It's only money and lawfare for the rich but in this case he's using stolen investors' money.

I've never understood the business about appeals. Anecdotally, it seems at least half the cases I hear about get appealed. I thought appeal was for when the original court didn't follow due process in a significant way. e.g. the jury was provably biased. But it seems it is almost the normal process for those that can afford it.
Surely the courts system would be more efficient if the original court dealt with say at least 95% of cases itself without allow appeal.
Maybe someone with a better knowledge of the legal system can answer ?
