I get the impression that paying up is furthest from his mind and any of Daddy's money (if in fact it is available) is being employed keeping him out of the hands of the FBI.
He's never coming back to the UK . The only way you will get any refund is to take FS to task and for £450.00 I'm not going to bother unless the Small Claims Court would work ..My son used it very successfully once on a dodgy car deal. I think that they are relying on borrowers aversion to lining lawyers pockets . If anyone is in for 5 figures or more …..I would offer moral support (for what its worth) . Surely this is worth a weekend money supplement article on the travails of P2P lenders versus the Venal Public ? They are always scratching around to fill their columns.
I agree this is his plan but hopefully he could be arrested for contempt of court etc
Below is from FS DD - thank you Mousey!
Law ***, London (March *, 2019, 8:00 PM GMT) -- An art dealer who fled to Spain after facing legal action in the U.S. and U.K. for allegedly selling works used as loan collateral was ordered by a London judge on Tuesday to submit to cross-examination about his assets — or face possible prison time.
If he isn't arrested then I will be totally disgusted with both the so-called justice system and also FS as I can't foresee a penny of our money being returned.
About 19 months late and still not defaulted - have FS been sniffing the glue samples again?
He is subject to a worldwide freezing order which has to benefit all creditors not just us. He owes more to the family business than to us IIRC.
His assets were discussed in a previous hearing and there's a write up on here somewhere.
I understand the cross examination hearing on 4/7/19 lasted from 1045 until 1609. The transcript will cost approx £1200(!).
Assuming transcription is on a per word basis, just goes to show how much nonsense lawyers can deliver in 5-and-bit hours
Mind you, divvying that up between the posters on this thread would mean a contribution of around £13 each (93 unique posters), but that may be unfair on those who made just a single post.
How about those who made the most posts (theoretically the most to gain) with a threshold of double-digits; and excluding Mousey , 'cos he's probably stumped up enough already:

Just kidding, of course, as sharing the transcript in this manner would probably breach someones copyright somewhere along the line.

Fine, if everyone else agrees, I'll stump up my share for the greater good.
Edit: but I'm only ever gonna edit previous posts in future if we keep getting charged on a per post basis. Others may be even harder hit
Would FS (or their lawyers) as the plaintive (if that is the correct word) be automatically given access to the transcript? If so could they not share this with the investors in each loan?

Well the transcript is expensive because it has to be written.
Both sides by virtue of being in court will know what's occurring so it's a common sight for a member of each legal team to be typing as the case is going on. I'm sure funding secure would have access to what their legal team wrote but they won't send it out as it may be used against them!
I run "the investigative court reporting blog, Mouse in The Court". Read my work on P2P here: tinyurl.com/43n6swpt

That method seems to penalise those who have been members since the thread has started which is counter intuitive. A posting per month might be fairer.
It also begs the question how (and why you could be bothered to) extract these numbers?
Sadly my post count is no reflection of my bank account size, social status or investment size. So sadly I won't be stumping up 60 quid as it's a pretty large chunk of what I've invested (lost?)

As for me, my name is not in the list, but I will happily contribute £100 to the pot.

I'm not sure there is an entirely fair way to have it bought once and shared around, but 'fairness' has to primarily be aimed at the originators of the work and copyright observed, so it would be a non-starter anyway.
The 'how' is two lines of script in 'Web Scraper' and 5 mins manipulating the output in excel. The 'why' is even easier - I was bored (waiting for a delivery), and it seemed like an interesting way to pass a few minutes.
Hope that answers the questions. Any chance you might answer mine, please? (And there's this one - although I'd understand if you didn't want to go on the public record with that one.)

Over 2 months since the last update ... just how long ois this farce going to go on for - damn loans not even defaulted yet
If you don't want to be depressed don't read the following :
The contact information provided by ****** **** Art, which states that the works were purchased by an “associated company” and were “apparently held in Dubai”, was found to be insufficient in ascertaining the ownership, location or existence of the artworks. A source at K***** S***** has declined to share further details of the works in question.
We lend FS £2.3M of OUR money and what do we get as security and professional management " not sure where the damn paintings are - possibly in Dubai!" - give me a break! Clearly these paintings are flagged as "problematic" to the art world so I guess they have gone to a secret wealthy private collector which I gather is a very big market.
Anybody offered a cheapish Stubbs, Picasso etc please PM me...
