What about the people such as myself who are working abroad. Can we have an electronic copy instead of a postal one?

Good question. I shall ask my team to make it so!

Hi - I just got the form emailed to me (good idea!). I guess AC just need back the scanned last page - I was a bit surprised it only had name/signature on it and no tie back to the AC account name - is this OK ? Also it mentions a change in bank details but if I make payments thru GoCardless I assume no change (for now) ?
Cheers....

Posting - even scanning - is so last century! Surely emails must do - there's nothing secure about a scanned signature! Jack P

Cheers.... If you deposit via GoCardless then there's no change, but GoCardless will be dropped shortly unfortunately.

Will there be any changes to the shadow bid regime when Go Cardless is dropped? At the moment there is no problem with last minute requests because I can pay by Go Cardless and then have a couple of days to top up the current account that Go Cardless will be debiting. Without Go Cardless, last minute requests could be a problem.

Which is why I asked. I will need to have the cash in my current account, unlike now when I have a couple of days to get it there because of the time lag before Go Cardless debits my account.
Will AC ensure that there are no last-minute requests to settle shadow bids?

There will be a debit card solution and hopefully an intra-day bank transfer solution that will update your account within about 2 hours. Does this mean the cash deposited will be credited instantly to AC account (as with GC), regardless of the time lapse of a few hours between sending from bank account until it virtually reaches AC? I would certainly like that as I might make a final minute decision to buy in a loan or, see something I fancy on the AM with only a few units that might be picked up very quickly.

You'll need to see the changes in the wider picture, but yes a debit card would be instantly credited to the AC account. The bank transfer will require funds to arrive in the account and will be processed as soon as the bank post that information to us, which will be however long the payment takes to arrive plus however long is left until the next update window (I believe every two hours but that is still being discussed).

I have absolutely no issue with the change from GC, as long as transfers remain free, which they are and, accounts are deposited instantly, which from your reply they will be. Result:Happy

Just got the letter, and about to post back.
Some intern had fun sticking on all those labels and stamps! Or was it a fun holiday activity for all the young Holgates?
BTW, I also wrote in my account reference, in case of ambiguity - might be a good idea for all the John Smiths out there.
