Maybe I should have said "if they ever give me any money back"... but I was trying to at least give the impression of optimism. I am not expecting payment any time in the next few days at least, I think the bond filling up completely so soon might be optimistic, it's one thing for it to be reported to us that there is high demand for it and another thing to actually fill up. LOL. Wrong thread. This is a Scotland loan, but not the same loan as the Scotland bond loan I think you refer to

First cash balance credit since orderly wind-down announced. Interest payments made on MT site.

Although doubtlessly heading towards a further extension, I believe this one will come good in the end. Good location, full repayment of related loan, continued service of interest payments.

There's an update on the site to say there's no change.
Same position as before. The tenant is currently not paying rent, so the borrower can't pay the interest.

I keep reading everywhere that the government is doing everything they can to save businesses and making funds available to assist retail businesses that are suffering because of enforced closures because of the pandemic. Does anyone else wonder why the tennant has not applied for assistance, so making them at least able go make contribution to their interest payments?
I just saw and advert on TV by Rishi Sunak, quoting go.uk/business-support, imploring any businesses that are struggling to seek help and assistance. I wonder if MT in their role as, not sure what to call them, have checked to see why this business is using we lenders to bankroll their business in these difficult time, and not the government who seem to want to help.

Will be interested in any response you get from MT towers - Cheers P

Is this the one where the tenant is a takeaway sandwich shop (so able to trade). Isn't the tenant also one of the borrowers other businesses? In which case, when they say the tenant hasn't paid, they are effectively saying 'we are not paying'.

Another bang up job MT are doing looking after lender's interests. Remind me again now they are 'closing down' whose interests are they serving? Borrowers?, lenders?, or their own path of least resistance?

This is an interesting one. Even though the borrower had struggled to refinance the loan they had kept up interest payments and even made a small capital repayment prior to lockdown.
And the common directors had fully repaid the loan against the Six Scottish Pubs.
I don't particularly trust any P2P borrowers but I think these guys would want to do the right thing if they could. I hope they find a way to make good on this one.

So much for the update posted on 29/09 that MT expect to be in a position to update us within the next week. Does anyone have a calendar where the weeks are longer than seven days?

Update on site. Full capital repayment though not outstanding interest. Seems good outcome to me.

Update on site. Full capital repayment though not outstanding interest. Seems good outcome to me. Fully agree. Interest is the icing, but any returns now help me move towards break even. So if this pays back I’ll be happy.
