Loanpad is committed to raising interest rates to 4.8 by December. With interest then re invested and so compounded, the return will be closer to 5% before Xmas. Considerably better than Aldemoes 4.35 where my money would be tied
up for a full year with no prospect of further rate raises as the markets change. No thanks, I’ll be sticking with LP.

But you seem to be ignoring the risk premium. Aldermore is 100% safe and guaranteed; no matter how well run Loanpad may be, it isn't. So, is the risk premium of just over 0.5% worth it?

If you are in the Loanpad IFISA the returns are quite a bit better.

I think it is relevant to point out that the two Loanpad accounts fair differently in comparison to their equivalent non-P2P accounts. P2P seems to be still winning in the area of ISAs.

But the poster was using the one year Aldermore account as his alternative which is not an ISA account. So I fail to see how including the Tax advantages of Loanpad's ISA accounts (or indeed any other) is relevant.

No I certainly don’t ignore the risk, and your point regarding that is a pertinent one, I was simply making the point that the original point you made about a 0.05% interest difference was not quite accurate.

Today's disappointing news that Assetz Capital is closing to retail investors started me wondering, how many other platforms will in future decide retail investors are too much trouble.
Loanpad is worth highlighting here, because its business model is only suited to retail investors. There would be absolutely no need for other institutions to buy their negotiated senior tranches of lender partner loans. So I don't think Loanpad would ever (voluntarily) say goodbye to us.

It's been quite a while since I made a deposit on Loanpad. Can someone remind how long it generally takes for a deposit to appear? Cheers in anticipation.

Thanks for that; it's actually now arrived. Now, can you remind me how to move it from my Standard account to my ISA? Sorry, having a senior moment

Sorry, having a senior moment I don't use a ISA on Loanpad, but on the transfers page there seems to be **click here** hyper link for ISA transfers.
