I spotted this offer that may be on interest from some readers of the forum.
Raisin are offering to put your money with Milestones savings in a 1 year fixed account at 2% interest(expected profit due to being Sharia conpliant). They are also currently offering a £50 bonus.
So you could deposit the minimum £1k and receive £20 interest and £50 bonus all back at the end of a year.
I actually found the offer via a link on the Mail's Money website(not just a Google add)
Sounds okay, anyone heard of Raisin before or trusts them?

Seems like a similar sort of savings conglomerater as octopus cash is (with the same £50 initial bonus). As with them I really don't see the point, when a trip to MSE uncovers slightly higher rates and avoids a middleman. Thanks though, good find for the £50

I've never heard of Raisin before, but the offer is great. Registration took about 1 minute, very straight forward, £70 for a couple of minutes work is good.

not unfamiliar to the P2P universe, Blend Network and until recently Growth Street, if my memory serves me correctly. I've given then a whirl. I'm willing to 'gamble' for the £50. But, otherwise, it just seems an unnecessary small risk. AIUI (it's complicated, I may be wrong), you're effectively covered by whatever FSCS cover is in place for the savings product you end up with via Raisin. But, what if it all goes kaput before full investment? It sounds like something that could become complicated. And, as I said above, the rates aren't even the best. I've had to go for a sharia-compliant Gatehouse 1yr at 2%, when Atom currently have 2.05% direct. Seems like solving a problem no-one really had. Edit: Just to add to the fun, once you've signed up, you find that your funds aren't immediately being held by Raisin or your target bank, but by "Meter Asset Management" and/or "Meteor Investment management", one of which processes your order, and one your cash. Of course, whilst this process is ongoing, you aren't earning interest.

Thanks a lot for the post!
I've decided to go for this - I've queued the opening payment for a day or two from now just in case I change my mind, but looks on the surface a pretty good deal.

Sorry, that one's gone now. Raisin worked out so far btw, have already received the bonus.
