To visualise what we are talking about The agent description: "Lps is delighted to bring to the market a selection of studio apartments situated on the High Street of ******* Liverpool. Superbly finished to a high standard all with en-suites and bills included. Prices start from £99.00 pppw. The communal areas to the building include TV lounge, modern kitchen and laundry room" One would have thought the ceiling rose could have been screwed on before photography? Exposing live wires and not bothering with fire certs and multiple defects.........

As a bonus, a tin can telephone could be strung up between the bedroom and the pub so you can order a pint and have it poured by the time you get down there.

well spotted - I sack tradesmen for sloppy work and any electrician who could not be bothered to fix the ceiling rose would not last long with me. No shade so what does this all say about the attitude of the landlord? The rent seems ridiculously high to me. Also the position of the ventilation vent indicates a potential damp problem to me- will be looking at this one in more detail when I update my FA league over the weekend.

All been very quiet on this one for the past 5-6 weeks. What is the status of the fire safety repairs fundingsecure which were due to cause "a delay of 2-3 weeks"?

The receivers are back on the scene! Where have they been all this time? "The borrower has rectified all issues and is now seeking tenants to fill up the flats in the upper floors. In the meantime we have been approached directly by someone who is keen to purchase. We are in discussions with the purchaser via receivers."After a year of messing around with potential purchasers who ended up flaking we've spent the past six months preparing the property for renting/refinance only to potentially go back to a purchase? Doesn't seem to make a whole lot of sense...

you what - not saying he isn't but why would the vendor not proceed with the sale....hang on I thought receivers were appointed? I wonder if the original buyer would be happy to pay the original asking price - is he aware of what is happening here and forcing the price down - answers on a digital postcard.
This one is 20 months late - we were told it was generating £82K in income which is still less than the £625K at 20% pa. That said I hope the rental income has gone to the receivers?
Who is running this one - Diane Abbotess ?

Finally sold, resulting in a 25% haircut and no interest.
Another FS dog loan that reminds me (as if I needed reminding) why I gave up trusting them at all.

It appears that the security realised about 46% of the valuation and I received 70% of my investment and no interest for the 812 day term.
I see that two investors had £100k each in this, I expect that they are feeling much more pain than me.

Yep took the haircut also on this one....A very poor result and another to add to my FS lost capital collection.
Just a few more to go and I'll hopefully be totally free of FS (although I imagine we'll probably still be talking about Whitehaven for years to come!)
