Another case of elliottm's analysis of the borrower being the most accurate. What strikes me is the high amount of work by qualified people required to supervise this company, and the actions necessary just to squeeze the full facts out. Multiply that by a few pubs and trawlers and you realise that this sort of lending is costly to supervise, or it will go wrong, or more wrong. It seems a fundamental problem with p2p, that the necessary dd and supervision for complex business situations is hard to resource on an agency basis. I'm happy as long as the loans can be traded during the extension. Reduced liquidity means a reduced holding in the platform.

You should be happyish then blender, as the borrowing proposal addendum states that bids and offers will be limited to 100%. This seems sensible since the borrower can (and is reported to be intending to) repay the loan at any time.

Yes I am happy with the arrangements, and with the way ablrate has handled it and with the level of information provided to us. The interest rate will be up to 16%, paid monthly and funded by cash in hand. 100% fixed sounds a good decision - and it will be nice to have something on the SM trading at par. I really cannot find anything to criticise, so it has to be well done, so far.

It seems the secondary market on these loans is still paused. When will trading resume ablrate ?

Expect yet more discounting!

In that case I may be buying rather than selling. 69 is in a similar position, with bids at 100.2% this am.

I find it misleading that the interest rate displayed on the SM page (and elsewhere) for extended loans is the original interest rate rather than the current extended rate. I find myself repeatedly rereading the addendum to check that I haven't misunderstood (perhaps I have!). People who want to trade out of these loans are surely being hampered by this. ablrate ?

We have been changing the cash flows on these and will be resuming trading when all the details of the repayment structured have been added to the platform.
