Now that is a helpful, informative and useful post. I now know much more than I did before reading it including snippets about BC's ISA plans. That IFISA option can't come too soon.
There is just one tiny little point -"rouges"? Perhaps rogues... Yes, I know, we've all done it .

Firstly thank you for your patience. For some reason my log in and or IP was banned from the site and I could not log or find anyway of getting this removed. Thankfully sone kind investors rallied round to get it unbarred.
<snip> We are awake ... we just couldn't see or hear what was being said as for some reason our IP was banned by the "independent" forum. There are only three IP’s that have ever been associated with The Bridgecrowd or it’s representatives: IP ONE – thebridgecrowd – account opened on 30 th March 2015 – this account has never been banned – the account appears to us only to have been operated by Louis Alexander. IP TWO – louisalexandersocial & louisommo – accounts opened on the 31 st July 2018 – it appears to us these accounts also belonged to Louis Alexander and were in contravention of forum rule 3a as they were multiple accounts, and we had not been contacted to request their operation. The account louisommo was rejected, but the IP has never been banned and louisalexandersocial is still operational. IP THREE - bridgecrowd account opened 10 th Feb 2017; lukeroughley account opened 30 th Nov 2016; niallhhutchn account opened 31 st May 2017; njrigby account opened 3 rd August 2018 This appears to us to be the “office” IP – this IP was banned on the 6 th June, it had been blocked as part of a wider VPN group that had numerous separate IP 'blocks' registered to it. There was no intention to ban The Bridgecrowd representatives, and we were not aware that they had been impacted at the time. As a result of a forum member contacting us about this it was re-enabled on the 2 nd August. As we have stated here p2pindependentforum.com/post/271204 – this does sometimes happen, but we attempt to address this as soon as we are alerted to it. However, it should be noted that whilst this was regrettable, at no point was the account of thebridgecrowd blocked and yet no attempt was made by them to contact any of the forum staff about this issue either then or subsequently. All The Bridgecrowd representatives have had full access to the forum since 2 nd August 2018.

I got banned today and it was only by very roundabout means not available to all that I managed to contact you so I suggest it's a problem.
I have an idea. On the page which says You have been banned from this forum you could put a contact form for the use of those who think it is a mistake, a form being harder work for spambots

Was the ban something to do with Bridgecrowd?

Was the ban something to do with Bridgecrowd? No, but there have been posts about BC finding themselves banned, and I was "banned" yesterday, as it turns out automatically and wrongly excluded for reasons as yet unknown. It seemed apropos to use this thread, which already has given attention to the topic, to try to improve

It seemed apropos to use this thread, which already has given attention to the topic, to try to improve I don't know the proboards software at all but operate a lot of different software that allows IPs to be blacklisted. From reading what the admin said above and my own experience I'd guess that your IP was inadvertently within a range of IPs that were added to a blacklist for spammers etc. Its very easy to do sadly. I do like your suggestion of a contact forum or similar but I suspect it is a lot of work unless Proboards can do it out of the box (but even then it requires testing etc). Maybe easier would be an email address to contact perhaps with a special tag in the subject so that spam emails could be filtered out easily.
