Judging by the numbers piling in to this loan whilst queries and concerns were being raised here, it seems probable that many are investing without reading this forum or, I guess, doing any other DD. Unfortunately 12% interest holds magical powers of persuasion way beyond the understanding of the educated! SS's reaction to the queries and concerns raised here has been very positive and confidence boosting. Either that, or investors are convinced that there will be someone else willing to buy their loan parts in a few months' time -- before any bad news arrives.

£400 left now.
Not much else coming in the pipeline. Dearth of loans probably explains why people are so willing to snap this up

Lets hope that your actions have not been undertaken on a terminally wounded beast but SS will be able to effect a Lazararian resurrection. Also that the fact that it is fully funded wont cause SS not to secure the additional security. In that instance, the SM could see a bit of a glut of this one!

Well, somebody isn't sticking around to find out - about £6.5K of it been put up for sale today. I don't think we got the answer from SS about who gets the cashback - original lender or SM lender? The loan details are still saying pre-drawdown investments get the cashback, so any buyer today will surely be expecting it. Think savingstream need to get that clarified for their own sake - could be paying out a whole lot more cashback than they intended - that would be particularly galling to them if the loan didn't even go ahead.

Love the idea RR, if I understand that logic we all flip our loans back and forth between us a hundred times between now and drawdown and wait for the 50% cash back we would all receive. At least we would get a definitive answer on what happens when Lendy go out of business

The above comment implies that SS would pay the cashback even if the loan doesn't go ahead. Have savingstream actually said they'd do that? Has the situation come up in the past? If so, what happened then?

It hasn't come up in the past to my knowledge; the cashback promotions only arrived in recent times when the PBLs arrived and they've all gone ahead so far.

The £6.5k was an investment that we had to cancel as the investor didn't make a follow up transfer for his auto-deposit. Cashback is paid to whoever holds the loan part at the point of the loan going live.
