Has anyone done any analysis or experimentation of what the most profitable value for the Provision Fund Purchase Delay is?
I suspect that it may well vary with selected interest rate range, but it's toe in the water time here for me so I don't have any stats to go on.
I've set my initial small investment at 7..15% interest with 14 day repurchase delay.

I'd imagine 30 days is best whilst they are paying 'bonus interest' on the PF purchased loans, but I got the impression (rightly or wrongly) that this bonus only exists during beta/soft launch, so not forever. To definitively work out what's best you'd probably need a large sum (to be statistically significant) at every combination of interest rate and PF setting and have them active for a long time. I don't have enough money on there to do that and the loan book may not be mature enough to tell. Or welendus could run the numbers on the whole loan book and tell us but I'd assume they wouldn't.

I tested £100 in June, it's too early to tell without a public loan book.
With the initial cash drag and PF buying back late, I don't have enough data to show what Welendus can do, at least takes 6 months to see a better picture.
Now, out of the all time 15 loans, 5 were bought back by PF and matched to another 5 new loans. Repurchase was set at 7 days
Time will tell.

And, if so, do you know how long this will be for?

Best, Nadeem

Hi nsiam, When can we expect to hear the exciting news mentioned a couple of weeks ago on another thread? The suspense is killing me.

Hi nsiam , When can we expect to hear the exciting news mentioned a couple of weeks ago on another thread? The suspense is killing me. Ukmikk, you made me laugh out loud. Well, will it help if I said we have about 3 new updates coming soon. The first will be released in the next 3 - 5 weeks followed shortly by the others.

Hi nsiam, Well laughter is always a bonus in the world of P2P, and thank you for your reply. I confess to being a little deflated now, maybe you oversold the levels of excitement we should expect?.... "We have slowed down the lending process in preparation for some very exciting releases and news very soon. More to follow on this."

Hard to judge by first investments because lending took off slowly, but I have one that is precisely 6 months old (iirc lending was up to speed in Feb) - it earned me 2.43% (4.9% APR). The rate was originally set at 14.5%, but when new feature was introduced I've set a wider range. PF purchase is set at 7 days.

Please could you clarify what the 'bonus interest' paid on PF purchases is? Is it the equivalent of interest lost or a lesser amount? Kind regards, Michael.

Having set up my initial investments in £100 lines with varied interest rates most are now coming up 6 months old (although I was invested from Dec 2017 lending only really took off from Mar 2018) & show a range of 3.6 - 7.8% returns according to my dashboard.
Overall my total return is 6.4% (inc PF interest refunds which was also reinvested) largely from just 6 months, so approaching 12-13% annualised. I have never altered the PF buyback dates as any interest was going to be reimbursed anyway.
I am more than satisfied with this having made 1697 loans so far & have only experienced a short amount of cash drag (upto 25% for just a few weeks) which has recently completely disappeared with just the accumulated <£1 sums queuing.

Welendus has been a good journey for me so far. I joined in December because I liked the proposed model (iirc you brought it to this forum first, thank you for that), communication from Nadeem and practical response to lender's voices was great. Loads of improvements since Dec 2017. One I found useless (but sweet because W responded to lenders' request) is the age, gender and geographical location of borrowers.
