Looking at the recent table, FC is in serious danger of losing it place at the top table on this forum.
I know it's a black box, I know it's historically unloved here, I know its hard to find much to say about it. I do however have a certain affection for it.
Apart from a brief one week affair with Zopa, it was my 'first', sure we have had our ups and downs, fell out a few times but the truth is I feel 'joined' to FC (and not just by the defaulted loans that will keep us together for some years yet). I have schemed and plotted to make our relationship a success, and will not stand idly by while it is shamed.
Be fair warned unless the post rate improves a little, I will have no choice but to rattle the Seven Sisters of grief cage.

Ah, I knew there must be some reason Fellow Cheerleaders were not cleaning up the forever late London hotel .. it's obviously to keep the posting rate up so they stay on the front page. 8>.

Personally, I think the shade of black used is not the right one for the job, and the boxiness is boxier than it should be. I have seen better boxes with more suitable levels of black, but then again some lacking the proper degree of boxiness. This may be a deliberate choice of opaque Finally Cubic, in their long 'progression' from being transparent Firstly Curvilinear. Any other views?

I assumed its current construction was just to comply with EU standards on metaphorical black box design for financial institution use-age. Presumably when these constraints no longer exist a more 'arts and crafts' version will be adopted, possibly given a patina (current, more than traditional word usage) to suggest greater age, thus reassuring us that it has been around a long time and is trustworthy and reliable. Feeling Confident.

Does that make us “Eskimo Brothers” I have not forgiven them for the London hotels still got 5K tied up. I still managed small profit. A lot older and wiser. FC ok if you need relative liquidity. Taxable monthly interest makes it not so attractive for modest/high investor.

Village bike? I always took care on my Classic Account (with Corinthian pillars) to buy on the primary market, and to avoid the secondary market except for sales. No longer possible. One man's patina is another man's grime.

VI. Many thanks for some humour. Failing Customers was also my first P2P adventure / affair.
Fear not, as I will be venturing on to the London Hotel post soon with some suspect info from employees of the Eastbourne Co***** apparthotel which was purchased with our cash but with no absolutely no security taken by FC for investors.
Best wishes, SXLR

Well I am looking forward to reading that!
I guess there has been no tangble update on the status of this fiasco?

I don't know about anyone else, but I think that FC is still a good platform and I'm not all that keen to try to learn about some of the newer ones that spring up promising something different or better with safer, higher returns. Through up and down, FC has been a good investment for me and I don't really mind what others might think or say or write.

Out of interest, can you tell me what percentage of you loan book is currently sellable?

You can be guaranteed that anything that is sellable will sell so gives you more liquidity than other platforms. On the downside it gives you a lot lower return. If I eventually get something back from the London Loans. I may put some more back on FC Also most defaults Are not at the very beginning so you will have a good proportion of your capital back plus interest before most defaults happen.

Yep and that's exactly what everyone used to say about Lendy, MT, FS.... and anyone who said otherwise was shouted down pretty rapidly. Liquidity changes and the only thing I can guarantee is that this will not always remain the case.

Flogging Cwik has been highly liquid for years, except for property bought with cashback, which once needed a discount. The black box changes make it more likely to remain liquid, compared with other p2p platforms, imo.
