If the US v China import tax war worsens and the Canada v China arrest war escalates markets round the world will go down.

I have 350k invested to take advantage of the 1% cashback. Will remove everything on the 18th and put into FTSE shares. How will you be able to remove 350k with such certainty? I thought there was a 200k limit on QAA investment

Can notice be given now for money invested via the 30 day access account and the money still qualifies for the 1% cashback offer ?
I assume it qualifies since the money is still invested for a further 30 days which is past the 17th Dec. snapshot day - but I thought I better ask.
Thanks!
Yes it qualifies as a balance as long as it remains on the platform but NOT in the 'Cash Account'. Are you not thinking of keeping it in there until June for the extra 1% then? I am not going for the extra 1% in June .. I like to "test" if I really can withdraw all the money (My understanding is that the suspended loans I see within the 30Day/QAA are covered by the provision fund?).
And I also like to invest more in shares - bought some yesterday and already down 1.46% - maybe a wrong decision

Not a good idea to buy shares at the moment.

Just received my first 1% cashback payment (Same here.) Now it's the long haul wait for 6 months (effectively a 2% pa bonus) to collect the rest. Next up os the Summer Bonus in January - which is a tidder in comparison.

Just received mine too, 18p I have also however just opened a stocks & shares ISA with HL. £50 per month split 50/50 between Terry Smith and Nick Train. If brexiter optimism is correct, I should be a millionaire by this time next year.

Very impressed with AC on this one. I drew out a sizeable sum first thing on the 18th concerned others would do the same and there would be liquidity issues. Shouldn’t have worried as withdrawn with the usual excellent speed. A very tidy cash back received with some left in for summer money in due course.

Seems an excellent promotion, having just made 3.5k, but wondering about the tax treatment? About 1/2 from ISA, other standard, in a 30d. If it was interest the ISA proportion would be tax free, but as a bonus paid into the standard account, will this be CGT or an income tax liability for 100% of it? On a courtesy call from AC I raised this, and was ‘sold’ it being paid into the standard account as a ‘benefit’ as it “didn’t affect my current years ISA allowance”. D’oh, already utilized!

It's a platform incentive so isn't taxable. An incentive isn't usually eligible for an ISA so has to be paid into a standard account.
