Loans available at a discount (AC)

Hi,

I have all the loan stats recorded in a database, it's on my to do list to produce some graphs which I could then share.  The total amount discounted has actually been in a fairly tight range for the last 2 months and is towards the bottom of that range at the moment.  It would be way below if it wasn't for #986 which drew Friday and still has £250k discounted.  Here's the nightly data for the past few weeks (note this excludes anything I may be selling at a discount - whic will bn

As far as I can see, #962 and #938 are 1% and have not been 1.5% lately.

Obviously you don't need to answer these questions if you'd prefer not to, but I'm curious to know why you would be selling 938 for instance at a 1.5% discount. I would have bought if my ISA transfer had arrived in time.

I had naively assumed that these types of discounts on a one month old loan were offloads from underwriters. Is this the case?

If not, did you manage to pick it up at a higher discount, and are trying to make a larger profit via SM trades? (Not suggesting that there is anything wrong with that)

I guess none of this really matters, but you've peaked my curiosity. Apologies if you consider the questions impertinent.

Discounted loans (number)

I was previously selling a loan at discount and I also found it took some time for my loan to be advertised to everybody else for them to see it and realise what was for sale and at what discount.

The spike in Feb is an increase in the proportion of underwriter funding as opposed to access accounts (as the access accounts don't discount).  The spike in Dec was actually Nov 21 - if you look at my post of that day I comment that there was £1m of additional discounted loans, but I can't remeber what the driver was.
