Very interesting and informative many thanks. Discounts have been reduced to a great extent, most likely as you say due to the CBILS accreditation helping investor confidence.

Sadly my buy order has been stuck since Sunday morning (only a few micro sales going through at the present) Did you put in a Buy at a particular minimum discount which is no longer available, or the loan(s) are suspended? I'd had stalled Buys for both reasons.

Nope. 6% discount asked for with the same amounts stated as 'available' not suspended and still nothing happens. chris is there a known problem with Manual trading?

#729 is shown with '0' rate and has been untradeable since Sunday. (That'll be a techical issue I assume) It's frustrating.

Out of interest (and with little better to do) how do others keep track of discounted purchases and sales? I used to copy and paste every transaction involving 'discount' in the text from the MLA transaction log (can't really call it a 'statement'!) into a spreadsheet via find and replace manipulation of text and put into a dedicated spreadheet. And even then I could not cope with every single transaction involving discount (of the sub 1p kind for instance) so now I use a kind of daily reset of MLA account balances from Cash (to the nearest £10.00) and that gives a 'net' picutre at a glance to use b/c I send all interest payments to Cash and all principal payments to MLA - thus leaving the invested capital balance constant apart from any changes due to trading. This daily change can then be entered into the record. (How much easier could that be by comparison with the other method?)

A little off topic here, but it can't be that hard for AC to produce these facts and figures (<--- chris is this facility on the to-do list at all ). I've never gone thru' the statements doing this kind of detail work but really I should.

Would mind please someone clarify if Im being correct. While purchasing part of a loan on SM at Best Rate lets say -5 with initial amount 100 is it 100 - 5% ( am I holding a 100 of loan but just paid 95 ) And if best rate is -5 but I have set up instruction for Buy at -6 , do Sellers see this or am I just there setting and waiting that perhaps someone will place a sell with Best Rate -6 and then the system will much ?
Thanks

Thanks I believe that the amount you enter is the amount you will try to buy. So in your example you would end up with £100 of a loan with a par value of £105.26. Noone can see any of the bids so no, sellers would not see your -6 bid. You just have to wait and see if anyone decides to sell at this level.

Right , ok. Thanks a lot. I keep trying to get information from AC but I haven't been getting any response from them. There is also this information - Lender/Borrower Rate 8.50% / 9.90%. What is this exactly referring too? Is the 9.90% annual return when purchasing loan at the actual Best Rate ? I'm trying to move some of my funds into AC but their UI is just one big jigsaw. Compering to MT, Ly, ABl, FS or even Coll, AC creates such a headache, not even mentioning their calculation that looks bit like this 1.2000000000000000000444560000067000. I mean how the .... we supposed to .... . It can't even fit into my excel on 12" laptop.

So in your example the difference is 1.4% which is in effect AC's profit. The site is a new version and they are after feedback, I agree its very confusing for new users. A few people (with deep pockets) I have shown the site to have been put off by the apparent complexity but in reality its pretty simple to use the manual account when you know what you are doing. chris prob even more important to get feedback from new users like k6 as it is from established users....otherwise new users won't persevere.

Thanks BG. Will have to spend bit more time with their site hopefully not being put off. Just compering it to ABl , I know each site is different , but how easy is to see and navigate through ABl. You wish to purchase a loan with discount then U just set up 1000 at 80% and everyone is seeing this. If there is a seller willing to offload then boom, job done. Anyway, Thanks again BG
