Phrasing of the next vote The borrower has sent us the following bul****. Because we trust him implicitly, and he has never let us down, we are able to strongly recommend you agree to it by voting A. Vote result: 85% 'A', '15%', come back next year. Isn't it usually 90% A?

From the latest batch of questions and answers: Strangely, I thought the number of lenders expressing "growing sentiment" stood at considerably more than just "a small handful". Or is this in fact the "small handful" who control the outcome of any vote, and presumably therefore the ones that AC actually need to take notice of? Hope springs eternal however, lets see how the wording of the next vote is carefully phrased. There are more than a handful on here, and remember it isn't one lender one vote its one pound per one vote so there even more than a handful on that basis......................... - The 3rd largest UK P2P platform, est. 2013 - The most experienced property development, bridging and commercial mortgage P2P platform in Europe & UK - £1bn+ lent and over £130m gross interest earned by investors - 1 in every 100 new homes funded by us, 1 in 12 of SME housebuilder homes - Over £1.5bn withdrawn from the Access Accounts instantly, but currently running slowly - The first and largest P2P property development lender HOWEVER - 85% of loans in my portfolio are suspended - Loans with no repayments for years seem to be the norm - Lenders are at the bottom of priority list

Vote result: 85% 'A', '15%', come back next year. Option A 30% of your money back in 5 years time Option B 30% of your money back in vouchers for the restaurant in 5 years time Its AC who are at fault now, this should never have been allowed to go on this long and AC need to change the rules to prevent it happening again.

Option B looks pretty good to me! Shame I have no money in this one!

Basically, I asked whether they'd like to withdraw/rephrase their Answers involving 'small handful of lenders' given the size of the vote for demand to be made for repayment on the last Lender Vote (or they could tell us how many voters that was - which they declined to do).
AC's Answer included "The reference to a small handful of lenders was in respect of those 2 individuals who have posted on the Q&A and does not represent the lenders who previously voted for option B in the last lender vote carried out some 9 months ago"

Dont worry there is no requirement to provide evidence of the position adopted when sending the required email so you can get away with typing it in whatever posture you like. encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn%3AANd9GcQ06Ke3--LrS5cNtEVmsq4ODaFaY8fdqhx0Xw&usqp=CAU

It's not "grovelling" it's asking that they confirm to P2PIF that you are an investor.

I am, and I no longer wish to be. I thought this had been firmly established, and I don't appreciate any light hearted, jokey comments about it.

Is there anything that could be done legally to force an intervention in this debacle, I would gladly donate to and support a Lender Action Group if there was any form of action that could be taken.
I know we are only a small handful of lenders ....hahahaha funny how its "one vote for £1" when they need to keep it dragging on and a "Lender regardless of investment size" when they want to make it look better than it is
- The 3rd largest UK P2P platform, est. 2013 - The most experienced property development, bridging and commercial mortgage P2P platform in Europe & UK - £1bn+ lent and over £130m gross interest earned by investors - 1 in every 100 new homes funded by us, 1 in 12 of SME housebuilder homes - Over £1.5bn withdrawn from the Access Accounts instantly, but currently running slowly - The first and largest P2P property development lender
HOWEVER
- 85% of loans in my portfolio are suspended - Loans with no repayments for years seem to be the norm - Lenders are at the bottom of priority list

Ask a Question
Thank you for your question. Our team will respond within 3 working days.
And that sums up the level of importance that AC put on lenders.......................................
