q&a

Ooh look I'm the first to pass a post here!
Hello, welcome, best of luck.
About the q&a, it's very hard to read; I've had to resort to copying it all, (not easy in itself) and then pasting into word just to be able to read it. I hope you can improve it. It needs lots more space somehow.
Also when posting to the q&a you get an error message, so you think it hasn't been posted, but actually it has, which is why you see multiple identical messages
Lots of good stuff as well, but this needs attention.

Hi shimself, thanks for your feedback and for getting our board up and running! We are aware that the q&a section is a bit hard to read at the moment and are in the process of changing this. The error message we weren't aware of, so thanks for flagging that up and we will get that fixed. Glad you liked what you saw in other areas. Thanks again.

Just on websites in general. Yours doesn't look very professional in comparison to the other offerings and please get rid of that annoying page fade when i change . Also pop out windows = bad !
Are you really going to have your own forum too? I also not you are looking for a webdeisgner on your careers page so i guess you are thinking about this.
Take a look at abirate and see all the comments and suggestions about their security, intergrity of data and webdeign .
Welcome to the party though! IMHO you'll probably need to offer physical security (an asset not a PG) and rates >12% to get anywhere though

Can I suggest you do a full worked example, as in Mr X borrows £10,000 Mrs Y lends £100 and gets back £Z a month. Paying £Q fees, etc. etc.?
I think the market is maturing just as debeast says, and Lenders are looking for Bricks & Mortar security or something similar (not PG's). Though it's harder to apply to smaller loan. Do you think you might be going down this route in the future?
Can I ask who is your Specialist Debt Collector?
I think the site is okay for a first showing!
Good luck. P.S. Can you add to the FAQ a note about tax and can you say if you'll be providing a tax statement each year.

Thank you both for your feedback and for visiting the site. debeast: - We are currently redesigning the website to make it more user-friendly and accessible on all devices. - A forum/feedback section will be part of the future design. - Thanks for the suggestion in regards to security. Just to reassure you, ours is a proprietary system hosted in the UK rather than outsourced to a third party. It is a genuine exchange as opposed to a website-only platform. Our CTO is Stephen Kenny, who built the exchange. Stephen was the first CTO of Betfair and has worked for the MoD amongst others. Please see our recent blogs to find out more about his background. We will look into providing more information on the main website to reassure users. - We encourage all borrowers to offer as much security as possible (examples of which can be found in our FAQs) and this is reflected in our rating system as well. Ton ⓉⓞⓃ- We agree that a full worked example is a very good idea and is definitely something that we have planned with the website update, which will also include video user guides. - Please see the earlier note about securities that our borrowers provide. We do sit down with every potential borrower to discuss all of this in detail, and this has an effect on the outcome of the credit committee’s decision. - We retain the services of P and J Consumer Debt Services. - All investors get a tax statement every year. This is included in the ‘My Account’ area once registered. We will update the FAQs to make this clearer for everyone. Hopefully that clears a few things up for you; feel free to ask if you would like any more information though. Thanks I&F
