3 days to go until the FCA run out of time. In response to my complaint they wrote (my bolding) " The investigator will write to you again within four weeks setting out a summary of our understanding of your complaint, and whether we are able to investigate the matters you have raised under the Complaints Scheme ....." FCA reply time ran out for our complaints on 3/1/2019. 4 whole weeks and nothing , pretty unimpressive.

This is becoming a notable repeat complaint for the FCA, so they are probably holding back, and appraising the whole matter & volume of complaints. They will need to get a firm plan in place for how they are going to handle this, so I guess they cannot reply to any one individual until they have decided how to respond to all.

Whilst this may well be true all that they have committed to at present is a summary of a one line complaint (!) and a decision as to whether they will investigate or not. The complaint falls within their remit/scope so an investigation cannot be sidestepped (perverse rulings aside). By delaying putting a few words to 'paper' they are only adding to the perception of (fill in with your word of choice here) which of course will cause the matter to be escalated to 'higher authorities' whilst keeping the TSC informed.

I am rather late to jump onto the bandwagon, but I have now submitted my FCA complaint form and emailed to all of the TSC members.
I have also forwarded my email to my constituency MP. I would urge other people to consider doing the same. I have received auto replys from the TSC members saying that they can only respond to issues raised by their constituents. If we all write to our MP, they have a duty to at least respond and may be able to pass along to the TSC with more 'clout' than our direct emails.

Hopefully we will all have a better 2019 and any losses will be minimal within sector norms and not as bad as stock markets currently are. Chin up

My sole New Years resolution is now complete, and my complaint is submitted (email acknowledgement received also ). Massive thank you to everyone on this thread, without it I would not have got around to doing this. Now that's over, I can happily go pour myself a glass of wine, light up a cigarette and have a flutter on tonights football.

Decision deferred due to ongoing FCA action. duck - sorry if I have missed something, but what do you mean by your post - do you know somewhere to look for something? Cheers P I have raised an official complaint against the FCA for listing on their register that Col had permissions .... and then when Col were put into administrations the FCA stated that Col had never had any permissions. The crux of the matter is that the official register (which I always check as part of my DD) was incorrect. When a complaint is raised the FCA have a 4 week period to summarise the complaint and to say if they will investigate. In the case of my complaint the FCA have deferred making a decision due to ongoing action that they are taking.

I have just received a response regarding my emailed complaint to the FCA:
"I am deferring our investigation of your complaint. This is because your complaint is connected with some form of continuing action by the FCA. The regulatory status of Collateral, and the events which led to the register entry for the IP in question appearing to show Collateral as an authorised firm, are matters which are subject to an FCA Enforcement investigation."

Are The Spice Brothers going to swing? We live in hope. (But not until after all their assets have been seized and the proceeds distributed to Lenders. )

Decision deferred due to ongoing FCA action. Yep, just got my letter through via email. Deferred pending FCA Enforcement investigation. Good to have that in the back pocket for now.
