Still no email received but from the BDO website I learn that we've paid a sum to a very posh PR firm (and I'll be investigating their links to BDO). Perhaps someone with more knowledge than I can explain why this was wholly and necessarily incurred by the administrators in discharging their duties and what work was carried out for this sum. I can't imagine what responsibilities an administrator has to respond to the media over and above what might reasonably be handled by the in-house function of BDO.
If there has been an oversight in that not all creditors have been emailed the 6 monthly update then I must defend BDO because you cannot expect a top quality service when the partners in charge of the matter are only charging us the bargain rate of £600 per hour for their time, all being deducted from our investments.
I assume you have checked your spam folder because my web based email account does some very strange things. I find that sometimes things come straight into my inbox and on other occasions I find things are in spam, even when from same mail server, so email can be very flaky. It's OK when I am accessing from my main desktop PC but when I am accessing email from my phone app I just don't see the spam. On this occasion I received the email late yesterday afternoon in my main inbox.
The golden days of P2P lending are well behind us, in my opinion. I am now retired from active P2P investing and the undertaking of due diligence. Just awaiting resolution of 2 DEF loans in LY; 2 DEF loans in MT and my entire COL investment.
