I received two emails, obviously one belonged to someone else.

I received two emails, obviously one belonged to someone else. Must've been mine. Still, it's only fair, since they repaid me your money as well as mine. <runs away, rapidly>

What was the heading of this email, I have a feeling I may have received it and I may have deleted it along with a load of other emails. that I did not recognise as important. It was entitled: "Would you like to be screwed every day for the next five years?" Probably why it went into your spam I would definitely have opened that. Sounds exhausting, but I would have given it a good go 😆

I would complain but they would probably need God to deal with my complaint and he charges £1000 a minute. I nearly spat my sandwich out when I read they had charged for a PR firm. Arn't they meant to be good at communications. £60,000 on IT services and all they seem to have achieved is that they know that the database they have is actually a database. A database only needs a front end if it's going to have users. The only user this datbase needs is someone capable of writing the queries to produce some reports and put the data into some excel spreadsheets. It's not rocket science.

At their rates, can you blame them for taking their time. Of course they will just keep adding it to the bill. Now if they said that their IT team was trying to pull the information back from the server drives that they said has gone - deleted doesn't mean destroyed, even when the drive is wiped, unless whoever did it used a "military grade" (or that's what it used to be known as) deletion. That said, all this time just to come back with "oooh, a database?".. Who's in charge of handling the IT here?....

I think we can take some comfort in the fact that we are constantly being told of the "value-efficient manner" way in which BDO work and that " for cost-efficiency" many avenues are not being pointlessly explored. It's very reassuring that "attempting to retrieve specific information from such a volume of files would be neither cost nor time effective" in regard to the information recovered from the spreadsheets, databases, and files has obviously saved them a lot of time and thus saved us a lot of money.
It may not be strong and stable but it's not far short.
