Amazing how an expired SSL certificate has grown into rumours of a complete collapse...
Hope they get it sorted quickly, on my work network the central "net nanny" blocks expired sites so no workaround is available

Imo it is unacceptable to suspend a loan without providing at least a sentence or two of explanation. So much for the 'new improved governance' (etc). Letting your security certificate expire is almost equally unclever.

I also thought it could be in the final process of being repaid, but then the following have also been taken off the platform and are showing as suspended from this morning with over 100 days remaining: -
DFL006 - Cardiff
DFL019 - Land
DFL020 - Glasgow
And there are many more. Something smells fishy

In Lendys defence, they are hardly the first company to suffer an expired certificate.
The O2 outage last week that nobbled millions of mobile phones was traced to an expired certificate.
However, it definitely *is* a sign of incompetence. Someone, somewhere screwed up.

SSL certificate seems to have been renewed (or at least, Chrome is now happy)

Last night I had security issues with
This Forum Neal's Yard Lendy
I really don't think it was a Lendy issue (for once)

Can't see how difficult it would be to not supply an explanation of why things are suspended - seems bad manners not to.
Given Lendy's woes I am fearing that they are making their feeble attempts to game the system to prevent cash leaving.
The supposed 'improved communications' emails came sandwiched around a payment....... these suspensions have accompanied a large repayment, so a bad update might see most of those payments leave the platform. The thing is, I think most people are withdrawing anyway.

The security certificate I can see says it expires 14 December 2019, 12:00:00 GMT.
I didn't see any warning earlier in the day, but can no longer (easily) check what security certificate my browser received for the connections earlier today.
If the previous one was the same, maybe some browsers was misinterpreting 12:00 as midnight instead of midday?
... or given that the current certificate only started at midnight today, maybe it hadn't been fully distributed to all the servers in the cloud, and some were still using an old cached copy (or indeed perhaps it was being locally cached on a browser which failed to check if a newer one existed before issuing a warning?)

To be fair I've come across many sites who fail to renew security certs in time.
More than likely Lendy too busy chasing late payers/defaulters to think about renewing the certificate.

cross-linked loans one for all all for one possible DFL013 update was the one of course it could be its being repaided Let us hope that is the case and Lendy is going for a hat trick right before Xmas. Anything other than good news emanating from Lendy, and I am out of Lendy. I have given them enough leaway over all these non-performing loans.
