Thanks to those of you who voted
Looks like just over half of us just want the damn boat sold in order to cut our losses although a significant minority want to wait for the sponsorship
Sadly this seems the opposite of general FS strategy i.e. take OUR money and pad it out as long as possible e.g. the Landrover loan which really annoys me...

A useful snap poll adrian77 but even if 100% of lenders in this powerboat had voted to sell the boat FS would still do their own thing - whatever that 'thing' is as it's all beyond me.
There are numerous loans that should have been actioned, disposed of, proceeds returned to lenders so folks can move on. By all means 'soften everything up' by stating we are still pursuing the borrower for the shortfall although historically this often yields very little if anything. But it's the constant can-kicking that I find really annoying. Just look at the goodness knows how many updates on the W***h H***l loan.
Personally I've long believed that lender's thoughts on this forum have zero impact on a platforms attitude. They've got our money and feel entitled to treat investors any way that takes their fancy. I suppose though having a rant here and there may lower the blood pressure but that's about all it will achieve IMO.
A sad state of affairs in P2P land which at some date I felt had an extremely bright future. The concept is sound which is more than can be said for some of the individuals that are responsible for the platforms.

Hardly a useful poll as it was a completed boat all along and the exit is not to wait for sponsorship. Really it tells us nothing other than the originator of the poll is deeply confused.

I've changed the thread name from "Powerboat Saga" to "Endurance Boat Saga" so it is clear for everyone what boat is discussed here.

Unfortunately I would suggest it's too late to save this poll as its clear that a large proportion of people have voted while considering a different boat. The first few posts make it clear that many people (including the OP) were not meaning the endurance boat.

I have picked up on social media that they are having an open day for investors and supporters and this will be the third one. Its this weekend at ABC Marine where the boat is being built from 10am. A good opportunity to have a look.

I see the title of the thread has been changed by the mods. But that just confuses even more now. It generally seemed agreed that this thread was not for E******** Endurance boat for the round the world trip with Dr A*** P*****. However the last two postings are referring to that very boat. The vote seems meaningless with so much confusion....
Regarding the open day - I saw the boat before Christmas and spoke with the team at length. If other investors have the time and inclination do go and see it, I think that will help to boost confidence in the credibility of the team. I will again be going to the open day.

[br The open day is a nice touch and at least the guy sounds genuine unlike some other borrowers. Honestly though never really cared about the boat, records or quite frankly read much about what I was investing in, just fancied an easy 12% return on my money. Naive but reality.

Just to confirm - the last update on the Endurance boat (7th February) does include an invitation to the open day and details of location and time.
