Looks like cs might already be quite busy. I decided to post here to find out if anyone knows if banking references are case sensitive?
I sent this:
Hello
I made a transfer today using the reference number below. On your website the ref is shown with the initial "N" as lower case "n".
Is the reference number case sensitive so do I need to worry about this?
Nxxxxxxxxxxx
Response:
I can confirm your payment was received and updated on our systems

I suppose Welendus receives the payment and confirms the payment within 24 usually.
I only do debit card payment and receive one notification instantly. Usually Welendus sends out 2 notifications before the money can be invested.
1. Welendus payment successful 2. Your money transfer is confirmed. Login to invest.

Unlikely I know but just in case anyone has the same issue it seems the references are not case sensative - at least Welendus doesn't treat them as such.
I think I might have run into a problem because I set up a transfer at my bank and it recorded the reference using an upper case letter. Maybe it did that because it knows they are all case insensitive. I just needed to be sure I could send subsequent payments without worrying about them getting lost.

I pondered the same question for my opening deposit also b/c the bank end forced a lowercase 'n' to be uppercase and there was nothing I could do to alter that. Fortunately funds were safefly deposited in my W account the same afternoon.
