The gross return and estimated return percentage figures are no longer given. FC must have noticed the black box had a couple of chinks in it allowing some light to illuminate the actual performance of a portfolio relative to expectations.

My annualised return has corrected to be slightly more accurate. Dashboard is now showing 9.00% against 8.73% worked out reality. Dashboard use to show 7.90% (against 8.73% reality)

Really nasty. Try printing to a file to see true horror, even though an annualised interest rate appears in the wreckage

My defaulted amount has gone up. The headline figure has not gone down. Nor are there any new defaults. <Scratches head> Now a default has repaid in full. Headline figure is up. Defaulted amount unchanged. It looks suspiciously like the defaulted figure is now the original default amount, like it is in the loan comments, and no deduction is made for recoveries. The amount it went up by yesterday (around 10%) seems roughly the level of all-time recoveries.

Gotta laugh.... everything they do is for their own benefit, not ours.
Sooner or later we'll just log in and there will be just one figure in massive font, the balance. After all why bother with everything else, not as if we have any control over it.

The gross return figure was a carrot and did anybody understand how they computed that "estimated return after all bits and bobs" (yield in in x years time) ? These were misleading figures and the FCA does not like those. The single number I see now is closer to my XIRR, but still significantly above it.

FC never did account for uninvested funds, iirc. They also compound everything, if that makes the numbers better. But yes, the summary page is improved ... for them. I can't recall the last time they improved anything for me.

I'm still on the old contract as I'm letting all the loans come to an end naturally and just removing my cash. This year they've given me back a bunch of defaulted loans but generally I see no point in worrying about how they "paint the wall above the fireplace when there is no fire in the grate".

So long, and thanks for all the fish.

I think it was average gross interest - 1%fee - projected default rates = estimated return. In a way it is good that they removed it because it was misleading. They could have had a lot of complaints about the real returns being far below estimated? I prefer the old display, but it doesn't matter because I'm only looking at one figure (2nd box, flip the page, top number). All I need to know if there is anything to withdraw. I've had 3.7% recovered to date (first default occurred about two years ago).

It would be great if you could actually read it. OK maybe for the latest users of Windoze browsers or maybe even Mac users but other platforms are totally borked by this use of awful CSS. I have seen the demo of how it is "supposed" to look, with totally unnecessary flipping gadgets. The gadgets are all overlaid, the 'reverse' side is show to the left (or right if I flip it) and reads backwards - very helpful!. By clicking multiple times I can eventuall see all the data which is the right way round - but why do web designers (buggerers up is a better description) always want to use facy stuff that is not guaranteed to work on all browsers. There is MORE than ample space just to show all the data in line without any need for flip flop gadgets. Fell free to use such compressions of space if absolutely needed, other wise use the simplest method, I assume the so called web coders are aware of responsive web design. So if the browser width is normal just show the $%$%^&* data without any frivolous gadgetry. Is there an email address you can send web design complaints/suggestions to ? The contact us page now for some reason will not initiate the Captcha thjing and the attachments gadget no longer works. The wonders of 'imporving' web sites never cease to amaze me. Given the time I suppose I could write a user script to find and correct the broken gadgetry but unlike the web page designers I do not have the time nor am paid to spend any time fixing their inept designs. And NO, I am no going to buy a Windoze machine or Mac just to access FCs page.

Well, I'm using google-chrome on Linux Mint 18.1 (on both a desktop and a laptop) and I have no problems with that web page. Nor do my FC accounts display incorrectly - they function just as shown in the video. That doesn't mean I like the new layout. Pointless tinkering to my mind. Probably some new staff in IT who have to show they are worth their pay - new brooms sweeping unnecessarily! it is a bit odd on Firefox, though, where the two headings "Annualised Return" and "Businesses Lent to" are missing.

The helpdesk second reply said it was known not to work on Edge. I did not point out it failed on Linux Firefox too. Life is too short to help debug web developer's stupid ideas.
