£20 million in loans placed by the end of 2015

yeah judging by the number of investors in current loans (30 - 50 from memory) they have a long way to go.  Early days but I too would be interested in Ablrate plans.  I've put a toe in the water but I'd be happier if there were more active lenders to provide due diligence both on platform and individual loans and to ensure an active secondary market in case I needed to release funds.

Ref our pipeline of loans: Within our team we have a lot of experience in aircraft and capital equipment leasing and to our sponsors this is their everyday business, so having to go out and court brokers for deals to come to the platform is not a problem that we have, like many other platforms may have. Consequently the pipeline for these companies is very large, in the tens of millions. If we had the placing power we could deploy this on the platform, but as you have quite rightly pointed out it's a long way to go.

Our issue is that each loan, to be affective in new transactions, would be in the 500,000+ range and therefore we need to build up to being able to place that amount across a number of loans. As of now we have been under the radar as far as advertising etc is concerned because we wanted to make sure everything was functioning correctly and we had a period for users to make suggestions. With the implementation of the updated UI for the Secondary Market due this week, we will be launching ad campaigns etc next week. Our CEO will be a speaker at the Aircraft Finance Summit in London on 30th Oct, at the European Regional Airlines Association CFO conference in Basel on 5th November and we have also been invited to talk at Lendit Europe on November 17th. These events and some focused campaigns will allow us to start getting more press and in front of more investors.

The main things that will propel us, however, is more loans and more liquidity in the Secondary Market. We can't say too much but we have some institutional interest and have other plans to bring in large investors, while leaving plenty of room for our Lending Members. You may also see an interesting fixed interest product soon... shhhh.

And don't forget that SavingStream were a virtual start-up this time last year and have already placed >£10m in loans through the Lendy platform. With the backing behind Ablrate it is not too difficult to see them achieving their £20m target in the next 15 months.

Once the momentum starts I think this platform will just take off. (forgive me, we haven't had terrible Ablrate pun for weeks) 

any timetable or hints re new loans inc the " big" aircraft loan that was promised a few weeks back ?

We will be sure to get something up there soon. We have the SM/UI update and will be starting some marketing campaigns next week... so we should have a lot to tell you soon.
