Just had my BC cash funds unexpectedly returned to my bank account , while the site undergoes routine maintenance ?? Well that's a new one on me - never heard of any other firm (P2P or otherwise) do this before !! Anyone else experienced this ? Bit inconvenient because I will simply have to return the funds to the BC account on Monday. I want the funds there just in case something suddenly appears on the secondary market that I want to snap up. I guess they are just being super-cautious so I fair enough I guess. Still .... hope they don't do maintenance too often  . |

Be interested to hear what happened lobster. I have the opposite issue. Requested a withdrawal of a loan repayment but not arrived yet (only requested Friday afternoon so not exactly a problem).

Exactly the same happened to me, put 10k in on Wednesday funds returned to my bank on Friday. Very concerned until I checked my bank account to begin with I thought it was a scam. No need for concern. I had an explanatory email from BC, and my funds were credited back to my bank account, just like they said. Rather inconvenient, but definitely nothing to worry about.
It's just an unusual policy - personally I've never heard of any other P2P lender, or indeed any other financial institution for that matter, returning funds to investors during routine maintenance. I sent them a quick email to enquire, so I'll let you know the response.
