I seem to recall thinking Welendus was a low quality name, as to me I read US as in United States and felt it indicated a focus on the American market, but this name is even worse. Not a P2P site I use (although I might have a tiny Seedrs holding under the old name) - I don't think the new name makes any sense at all either. 3rd time lucky maybe? It's not awful but I'm not keen on the name either. I can see where he/they are trying to pitch it - they are trying to highlight the notion of it being for 'the people'. There might be an issue of cultural translation, and that those who can do the maths shouldn't be thinking up the company name. That said, recent issues elsewhere have highlighted the problem with letting ex-marketing managers setup p2p companies, so at least this one might be the right way around, although it obviously needs marketing as well...

Back in October 2018, a Head of Brand was recruited. Before starting his new adventure, he's been working for Wonga as Head of Brand Design for 3 years according to his Linkedin. I suppose Mr Green could have suggested something similar to: We Lend Any Loan
