When do I collect my trophy? A rather dubious honour I must say...

personally I am concerned about the high number of overdue loans and the defaults - seem to be far too many with a very poor recovery rate. Think it is a bit hard to predict how FS will end-up - if the default rate decreases then quite possibly happy days but... my personal default/overdue rate is about 30% which seems pretty typical

Mine is 20%, but if I write off my art loans (which I won't do - my solicitor will sort that), it's 10%. All of that I expect to lose. In fact I expect to lose all the rest from FS. Why did I invest in them> God told me to do it.

I have close on 50% accrued interest and know that I will not see my investments or interest again. My significant loss is due to lack of contractual actions by FS as outlined in their website and loan contract with us as lenders. No independent verification of property values prior to loan agreement and no background checks on borrowers which they promise to do on the website.

How is F/S doing i was thinking of joining but have mixed reviews? On average the full stats that FS release show that you should make money. Unfortunately if you are a mixture of poor or unlucky at loan selection you can lose a lot depending on your level of diversification. Lots of people here have been tied up waiting for recoveries for a long time and are understandably bitter. Would advise against in the strongest possible terms unless you have money to give away!

No independent verification of property values prior to loan agreement and no background checks on borrowers which they promise to do on the website. 50% accrued interest may be your result but it is not a representative result. The only way to get 50% accrued interest is to have invested only in loans that are now approaching 4 years overdue. There are a handful of those, but the chances of someone investing in only those and none of the hundreds that have repaid is minimal. You are clearly the person who is at the very tail of the distribution of returns. There are lots of other people who are making money. The fact that some people make money and others lose doesn't prove much unfortunately Edit: unless you mean 50% interest excluding all the loans you had that have successfully repaid? In which case, 50% is potentially a little misleading.

Up to 36% now on my (almost all) zombie loans.
According to my math I'm still just about in profit to the tune of around £250. That's assuming I don't get anything else back from the zombies. I don't know how much I invested but back in 2016 I had about 10K in there . Thankfully I was never that in love with their property loans, just going for seemingly safe houses rather than the more speculative developments.
I'm glad I made the decision to quit P2P and I've been winding my loan book down for the last couple of years. I opened a WiseAlpha ISA but I'm losing patience with them as you still can't select individual bonds to invest in . The platforms have mostly made a complete mess of ISAs, what with not being able to move investments from a standard account into the ISA, having to have multiple logins etc. etc.
