assuming we are talking about blender's FC return roughly being over the year April 18 -April 19 not sure where the 10 -15 loss in the stock market used for comparison comes from.Even a simple global tracker would be up about 15% using a year today so maybe i'm missing something(but it is Sunday morning) Just out of interest comparing something similar with a yield of about 5.5 - 6% investing in debt/loans Sequoia Economic Infrastructure Income is also well in to positive over the last year -but as usual that's not to say it will continue!

YOY mid October was down 15% . Recovering now . Poll was for individual platforms so could equate to individual S/S Would be interesting to see how Poll changes if overall loss reflects P2P multi platform (min 3) portfolio. I would guess there would be few if any investors that would not balance out at lower but positive return.

Godanubis - I started P2P lending in 2013 and, so far: 1 tiny loss on ReBS in 2013, 2 small losses on AC in 2014, but little impact; both platforms returned over 15% net in each of those years. No loss on any other platform (so far).

I have never made a overall loss on p2p lending (touch wood) unlike my stock market investments. So far i am invested in:
1. Lending works 2. Growth street 3. Wise alpha 4. Crowd property 5. Landbay 6. Kufflinks 7. Loanpad 8. Lendinvest They all seem to be doing ok so far amazingly.

Platforms that I have exited: FS Yes Lendy No Collateral No MT No Landbay No LendInvest No Invest&Fund No Growth St No Bridge Crowd No LandlordInvest No Archover No
Platforms I am still invested, position so far: CapitalRise No PropertyCrowd No Loanpad No Kuflink No CrowdProperty No Ablrate No Relendex No Goji No Proplend No Assetz No But until I exit these a loss is still possible. My aim is to exit at the appropriate point in their cycle before the wheels come off. This has worked for me so far with the exception of FS where the loss was only 3 figures on a 5 figure investment.

Did you mean to imply that the wheel-nuts were a bit loose on all of the platforms that you've exited? I ask because I'm still adding to a few of those (MT, GS and LandlordInvest) and hadn't noticed the wobble.

Surprised that you dont invest in any of the big main p2p lenders eg ratesetter, funding circle, zopa. May i ask why ?

Not even in lending works. Seems you are going for the niche high risk p2p platforms. But then again those that pay high rates of interest.

I ask because I'm still adding to a few of those (MT, GS and LandlordInvest) and hadn't noticed the wobble. Well nobody has perfect timing and I sometimes jump ship too early. But better safe than sorry. MT My confidence was shattered by Birkenhead in which I had a multiple of my usual loan limit because according to my DD (haha!) it was as solid as a rock. GS I left 2 years ago. I know of no reason why you should be worried, but I have not been following events since then. LLI similar to GS, can't remember now why I moved out, was it cash drag or better opporunities elsewhere?

I forgot to include Z and RS in my list of exited accounts as I left them several years ago. Nowadays I prefer secured loans. IMHO the rates they offer are not sufficiently greater than FSCS accounts to justify the higher risk - at least at my end of the investment level spectrum*. I have never looked at FC, mainly because of the many disparaging alternative expansions of the initials to be found in this forum. Should I take a look do you think? * Using family members I can get 3.83% on £60K with full government protection.

I'm expecting to beat FSCS levels, but not by much. I wouldn't recommend FC. I'm currently withdrawing from 3 accounts with them. Liquidity is a problem and is it's getting worse. I'm expecting a small loss on one of the accounts; too early to tell on the other two.
