It looks like Lendy registered this domain in December last year which redirects to the Lendy website. A sneaky way of grabbing some traffic from people trying to get to this forum.

Where's the information to show it is owned by Lendy? Looks more like somebody's idea of a joke to me.

If you type in the address it redirects to Lendy, so looks pretty clear to me. Pretty unethical in my view.

I have no knowledge of this, and it's all news to me. However, it may re-direct to Lendy but that doesn't actually mean that it is owned by them. It could be someone being unethical/ malicious to both the P2PIF and Lendy. If you own a domain you can re-direct it anywhere. It was registered for two years on the 5th December 2018.

Domain registrars are 123-reg and a simple redirect in place to 'forward' access requests to the lendy website. Lendy Support could ask their techs to implement a similar facility at their end to (effectively) block those redirects but I doubt they'll bother. They may be more inclined to contact 123-reg legal and ask them to disclose the actual registrants details which they may be minded to do as the path of least resistance on legal matters.

As Lendy.co.uk is also registered through 123-reg, it looks like it was Lendy themselves that have set this up. Another low from Lendy.

As Lendy.co.uk is also registered through 123-reg ...along with a fairly sizeable proportion of all domains extant... 123-Reg are one of the biggest registrars about.

it looks like it was Lendy themselves that have set this up No proof without registrant and even then proof is a bit iffy. More likely a joke. It costs only a few quid to do something like this and no authority is required. Regardless, I shouldn't worry about it. Is anybody really going to confuse this forum with Lendy's website? I think not.

It seems to me that a more likely candidate than Lendy themselves would be "someone who wants to further tarnish Lendy's name", of which there seem to be plenty.
If ptr120 didn't randomly find it himself, but was pointed to it in a private message, I'd consider it absolutely certain that it was someone connected to whoever told him about it.
Also possible but unlikely IMHO that ptr120 registered it himself, and somehow resisted posting about it for a few months...

I've got better things to do with my time and money than register domain names. I stumbled upon this as I was trying to access the forum from a device I haven't used before and typed in .co.uk rather than .com in error. I also struggle to see a case where by someone would do this maliciously, but can imagine a situation where a junior tech geek at Lendy would think it a clever thing to do in order to gain extra traffic for their site.

A junior tech geek is unlikely to have access to the Lendy credit card, and I doubt they'd be feeling that "altruistic" to pay for the domain reg themselves

It's about on a par with the rest of the Lendy conspiracy theories, I s'pose...

This appears to be with German hosts hosteurope.de - basic hosting packages from about 5 euros per month.

What hosting costs? The domain just points to Lendy's website. There is no hosting.
