Just found the answer myself, under questions, on their website.
Where are the assets held?
All small items such as jewellery and watches are stored in our own vault at a secure location, unless otherwise stated. Vehicles and art are stored at specialist 3rd party storage units.
I note the item was valued at £7500. Have found one advertised at £20000.

In the event of default, recovery very much depends on demand, not on how it was valued. Collectibles is a niche market. This loan has been going for 4 years now. Keeps repaying interest and I keep renew button green. I trust FS keeps the book in their secured cupboard.

With the unfortunate event of Lauda's passing last week I would imagine the value of such an item would certainly not be harmed ("personally signed by all living F1 champions including the late Phil Hill and Sir Jack Brabham). I take your point though, that advertised prices mean little/nothing.

Sold at auction with full capital return and 15% of accrued interest after deduction of all fees. The item only sold for about half it's original FS valuation, but the low LTV means the end result is pretty good (compared to other outcomes).
